  • very small amount of simple green on a cloth, and carefully rub of some dirt. This guy is a total dipshit, and this has been a waste of time

  • .....wow thanks for the help !

  • Contrary to what is stated in the video, you can clean some covers. A few tips

    1) Do not attempt to clean matte (non-shiny) covers

    2) Shiny covers can be cleaned. The best cleaner I've found is full strength Simple Green. It removes most of the grime and on light colored covers will remove much of the ring wear. It will also take off some adhesive residues.Spray the simple green on a cloth or paper towel, don't spray it directly on the cover.

    3) lighter fluid is best on most adhesives

  • U can buy plastic sleeves I got them on most of my vinyls keeps the covers looking new

  • heay dude u have mental ilnness.go and fuck urself

  • also, do not set your album covers on fire. that would be bad.

  • these "experts" are laughable really

  • 0:45 "this stuff is really strong" i lol'd

  • come on booo! boo this man

  • This may well be the most useless video ever. The title says: "How to clean vinyl album covers". What does are so-called "expert'' say? "You don't need to clean them." Thanks for nothing.

  • I mean you really need no cleaners, lololol

  • Please note ! this is the illegitimate child of Mr Bean, listening to him may seriously damage your health...you have been warned !

  • i keep ALL records in plastic sleeves, that protects the covers.

  • The old laminate (and import) covers clean safely with windex w/ microfiber cloth, NO vinegar or citrus additives, the acid will Kill your covers over time! Bounty works ok too, fold and wipe in straight lines from the center to the edges. Correctly removing grit, and sticky residue (atmospheric fallout) will prolong the life of covers. Most stock covers can also be cleaned, beware of flat stock and budget covers. Apply solution to the cloth, enough so it gldes easily, experiment on junk covers!

  • Record covers can be cleaned, but I agree with this video... do NOT try this at home LOL! I usually throw out moldy record covers. Mold / mildew is a health hazard, and detracts from the experience of collecting IMO.

  • Most useful video I've ever watched !

  • @AF117 LOL...complete waste of time.

  • Jeez at least use poly bags. I can't do without them! I don't know about you "expert village" guys!

  • That's not mold, it's ringwear.

You do need to clean your covers, sometimes. I saw a quality used shop do a nice job with glass wax but haven't tried it myself.

An "experienced disc jockey" -- since 2004 -- maybe isn't the best source for the care and feeding of collectible records.

  • You can use Goo Gone to remove sticker residue. It also cleans up some covers nicely, mostly the shinny laminate type.

  • give you a pound for it

  • £ 2.99 for that record
