you can get laser treatment for that now, it can take away the stretch marks off the skin but it wont get rid of the sagging of the skin, you could if you want to go back and get it tightened.

Im in the process of losing weight now for my tummy tuck. I'm 5'4 and at my first consultation I weighed 180lbs. I'm now down to 161lbs and decided to wait until I reach my goal weight of 140lbs before I have my surgery done. I had twins also and my stretch marks go up to my ribs so I know they wont go away. I think that you see them more now because you lost 20lbs after your surgery thereore loosening the skin a little but you still look fantastic.

Hi Becky, Just watched all your videos! You have an amazing story. I'm glad you posted this latest update. I just had my TT and am only 10 days post op but I can already see some of my stretch marks are going to wrinkle when the swelling goes down. There's no way to tighten the skin laterally without a scar running from the belly button down, it looks like that's what happened for you too. You look amazing, but I can understand your frustration. Good luck with everything!

Thanks for what you share because I myself have had weightloss surgery and though I know your tummy tuck was for a different reason but it is still important to get the information on tummy tucks. I am far from being there but I am just wondering if it is really going to be worth pursuing after the weight loss or if I will constantly be hcasing something never atainable. Think of the scars as battle wounds - you're a hero! remember sacrifice is only giving up something good for something better (perfect tummy for children/family/posterity) :) If you are feeling depressed lately you should have a look at my videos talking about gut bacteria and the brain connection. Becky - a good friend once told me, "negative people with negative attitudes make the people around them negative and sad." It's very true. I don't know who the people are in your life that are bringing you down. When they try to bring you down just keep in mind all you have accomplished, as well as the pain (mental and physical) that you've endured. Let them keep their negativity and you keep the positive, bubbly attitude you had when opening that bottle of champagne!

Becky, you look great. I see what you're talking about, and a doctor explained that when you have plastic surgery, it's like re-draping or re-upholstering something. You have certain "fabric" (skin) to work with, and the fact that it is stretched or draped differently doesn't change the pattern on the fabric. However, you are still lovely, and the surgery yielded a wonderful improvement for you. You have a fabulous, realistic attitude!

It's because of the stretch marks. Just HAVING a tummy tuck can cause some stretch marks from the pulling down. I had a TT 2 1/2 yrs ago and have stretch marks above my scar line. Your stomach is so FLAT. Flatter than mine. Oh yeah...I TOTALLY relate to the love handle annoyance! I still debate on having the sides and back done. You look FANTASTIC. Who cares if it's a little wrinkly. Take care and I hope all is well.

I think it does have to do with the weight loss. Every time you lose weight you tend to have a little extra skin. That's why I am trying to lose all the weight I want to lose before doing the tuck. Regardless, like you said it is worth it. You still look great. Even after I get my tuck, I don't plan to wear a 2 piece, but I'll be happy with this pooch gone. Keep us posted! Blessings!

Do you think that part of the extra skin is because you lost so much weight after the tummy tuck? I am a mother of 2 (a 6 yr & 1yr old) and have a lot of extra skin and bad stretch marks that I have been trying to hide for years. Hey Becky, I have the same concern.... I had a tuck Dec 21 2010 and I am fine when I am standing, but it's when I sit down that I don't feel sooo good. I was hoping this would go away with time. And I was wearing my compression garment ALL THE TIME to try to make it better, ps said the garment is giving me no benifit at this point.

I have lost 54 pounds and my body and tummy is looking so darn good, but then I have that part where it looks like Freddy Krueger's face. ugh. Old granny. Then your motivation just goes down the drain and you're like, how can I look like I'm 50 when I'm only 24? I've worked so hard to lose weight but when I wear a 2pc I still want to cover up the tummy.
