Ever wonder why Mr. West is wearing a COAT & Mrs. West is wearing short sleeves? Look at Mr. West's face. Does he look well to you? Worried? Not happy about being forced to perform for Tyson Foods? What about those chickens they show from 2 to 10 days old. No 40 day old, ready for harvest chickens in this video. NOW, that FDA has BANNED arsenic in Tyson's chicken feed, (Roxarsone), are we really any safer. And why feature a farm in Prairie Grove? B/c of those dead kids from Tyson's Arsenic?
for instance if you went to organic farming and raising chickens then you would be more likely to get cancer from the chickens that are not fed and medicined . think before you post and if you want to be part of the liberal idiots that want to cut the food supply in our country and we will end up like some other countries and make sure you do not get your backing from stupid movie
Extraordinary! I've seen better staged films by students! I did notice some cattle running from the chicken litter truck. I believe this proves my theory that this film is 100% All Natural TYSON B U L L S H I T, with lots of C H I C K E N S H I T mixed in. I plan to visit this farm with my crew, soon. Let's see what is real and what is not.
If this is the best Tyson Foods can do to cover up the murders/cancers of many people in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, then Moore's upcoming documentary is going to really show what absolute BS this video is. Ironically, one of the people in this Tyson propaganda video has cancer from the "litter". These people are prisoners to their contract with Tyson Foods and that is a shame since it may cost them their lives. Tyson kills and it is about to be proved outside of Arkansas courts. Spin that Tyson.
Just because most of Tyson's executives didn't graduate High School doesn't mean that the rest of us are STUPID! How about a follow-up film of the same farm? Say, when the chickens are ready to harvest? Plus, let's bring some of that chicken litter to an independent lab and have it analyzed. A blood test on one of the full grown chickens would also be eye opening. And why Prairie Grove? Nothing to do with that litter killing those kids with cancer, would it? And what about the Illinois River?
These "Tyson Community" videos have been resurfaced to counter the TRUTHFUL videos put out by Poisoned By Tyson 2009. The fact that PBT's last videos were about the unusual cancers in Prairie Grove on school children, (some died from "fertilizer" chicken litter that contains Roxarsone-ARSENIC, & other chemicals, & this litter was sprayed near the public school), is the reason this P G farm was chosen. Honestly, the old U.S.S.R. had better propaganda films than this. Tyson is AFRAID of PBT.
I REFUSE to buy Tyson chicken or any non free range anymore. I too watched Food Inc. I grew up with farming and THAT is NOT farming. Since last month I found a local farm that will sell me live chickens which I then kill quickly and humanely. It is always hard to kill an animal, always has been but it feeds my son and I. That movie turned my stomach to what "farming" has become.
I just sent a scathing letter to Tyson and they sent me back a link to this video. What a bunch of lying, corporate, money grubbing, dogs who continue to think the public is too stupid to know the truth. As I told them in the letter, the jig is up and the American people are demanding a better food system. I watched Food INC few nights ago and it changed me for good. I am done eating meat because of the feed, inhumane treatment and chemicals these corporations use and or produce. VIVA LA VEGANS!
serene music, nice couple and strategic use of lots of footage of the grassy area OUTSIDE of the chicken houses. also, nice manipulation of the footage so all we saw were CHICKS, not grown chickens. you have a good video editor who helps you continue lying through carefully selected images.
@anapaulaho That is exactly what they did. One of their employees who works with Poisoned by Tyson and the documentary "Big Chicken", said it best. "The Tyson Two Step".
Not a tyson rep here but as for feed/water having hormones/supplements - ALL animals have hormones! (including humans) There is no animal that is honestly "hormone free" - it might sound good but is inaccurate. Volume with reduced labor is what consumers demand. "organic" "free range" and other definitions are more marketing than descriptive anymore.
Thanks, but you did not answer my questions, JanH. Also, despite the fact that you're not a rep for Tyson, can you point me to a white paper, or case study, or analysis with evidence that " consumers demand volume with reduced labor."? Though I am no economist, that premise seems more supply side.
Evidence is @ the grocery store...cheap food sells. Try to get a living wage raising for individuals - been trying that for years; people won't pay it 'cause the store (meaning volume production) is cheaper. That doesn't need a scientific study - put a commercial bird and other one side by side at cost to raise - volume speaks; less human labor less cost more automation. Farm jobs in many areas tough to find. Most large places do their own feed;I CAN'T answer that; but did as to hormones.
Is "chicken grower" accepted nomenclature for this industry? When Tyson vis a vis the West's take the chicken to market, is the chicken marketed as free-range, or? Are the West's egg farmers, too? What does the feed consist of? Does the feed or water contain hormones and/or supplements? How are the hens slaughtered? how are the roosters slaughtered?
Thanks for your response in advance.
