Theres a lot of evidence in mind matter interaction that the 1st person to observe and recognise the pattern in the random events is the one that brings it about. Like the wave reduction in quantum mechanics - So is it not simply caused by one persons intention - or at most the research groups intention - acting retro causaly. Rather than a Global influence???
While it is true that there is a huge number of data in the Global Consciousness Project and can be very easy for someone to fish around the data, his criticism is actually invalid. The data (including analyses) are completely automated, pre-planed, standardized, blind, & based on formal entries, so the possibility of conscious/unconscious, systematic bias in the data has been ruled out.....
I recently joined the Global Coherence Initiative associated with the Heart Math Institute. Would you advise that it is O.K. to be part of more than one?? I also follow, as best I can, Lynn McTaggert and other groups on "ning" who gather for consciousness experiments. I've had the "fire the grid" on my laptop-desktop, to always be a reminder to me. As long as I keep my dates to participate, do you think it is OK to belong to several, since we are all connected anyways? Thankyou for posting!
Follow your interest where it leads you, but don't leave home without a sense of humor. The groups you list are good and well-intentioned. Lynn McTaggert inspires many folks, but is pretty muddled on the science. Our approach is to work carefully on a particular experimental question. We hope this will eventually contribute to and enrich our views of mind and matter. My advice is to be clear on what's scientific and what's inspirational and benefit as you can from each. Thanks for your post!
Good idea. In fact, we are studying concerts to help us understand how highly localized events might differ from more global ones. We are focusing on the recent world tours of U2, the Stones and Madonna (2 tours). These provide over 400 events with precise times and locations and large, enthusiastic audiences. The analyses will be completed sometime this year.
It's so amazing how you interact with the users here on youtube. I believe the work you guys are doing to be some of the most interesting work ever done by human beings and its so great that you are reading the comments and responding! Keep it up!
We'll know it's reliable if it starts to go red a little too much when the Yellowstone caldera blows up. That will be a good test because that natural disaster is going to affect millions of people personally. Hundreds of thousands of Americans might die when the caldera blows up, too.
I like the fact some people (including me in the past year) trying to understand mind reaction with quantums..but the problem is,there is no sustainable theory to support this idea..worse,there is not yet a full scan of how the mind works...so it's like you are trying to get an egg, while you don't have the chicken :-/
That's right. Need to keep our eyes open, but feet firmly on the ground. Don't over-interpret data is the watchword we emphasize (repeatedly) on the GCP site.

This is a reply to the skeptic, Jerry Schwartz:

I wonder how random or patterned the "eggs" are right now with thousands of protesters filling America's financial districts.

Sort of proves some connection between energy and ourselves.
It should be a bigger study just to see if there are anymore ways it can be used.
A sceptic will always dismiss such things its what they do, as indeed a believer will have the opposite approach.
Who's right and who's wrong?

Trust me (or not), there is such a thing as group energy output.

Here are some connected dots I found so far:
