im about to buy a 2.35:1 pull down to go with my 16:9 pulldown, i feel like watching 16:9 material on a 2.35:1 would bug the shit outta me lol..does it bother you?
@counterbond haha it does! thankfully, 4/5 of my movies are 2.35:1... i just keep the 16:9 ones to the family room tv. that is until i put in some sort of masking (doubtful)
Pls tell me how have you managed the Constant image height... and what else are you using?? your setup is really Awsome... I have the same projector.. But I'm still struggling to get it to work like this... Pls help!!
@simransial the projector's lens needs to be mounted so that it is within the frame of the screen. it can't be higher than the top of the screen.
then calibrate it all for the usual 16:9 image, including focusing. save this to lens memory 1 and label it.
then project a cinemascope movie. use the menu to zoom in so that the image fills out and adjust the focus etc and masking. save this to lens memory 2 and label. thats it
in menu you can set to auto-zoom between the two memory settings.
