Although I do think some of this was a bit silly (Killing most of the x-men and their enemies with a nuke, electrifying wolverine etc) it is still an interesting concept. Although Punisher has no powers he also has no rules. He will kill without hesitation. I think the reason he probably could kill people like Doom is because they under estimate him. But just imagine if someone with powers took Castle's approach to justice.

i found this book far fetched but then again the entire reason this was written was to have the punisher kill super beings so i guess we are supposed to suspend disbelife for a bit. there were a few inovative moments about how he kills certain people but over all the writing got lazy by the end . the nuking the x people to using a teleporter to kill the avengers. then the ending were we all knew what was gonna happen . take this story for what it is. a big What if?

Folks shouldnt get so mad about this comic. I thought it was fun and enjoyable. its not meant to be taken seriously, alot of these fights that Punisher is involved in would never fly in the canon universe. But it still IS one hell of a fun read. Sure its fun to poke holes in it, but its not meant to be a story for people to say "OMG PUNISHER IS BESTEST." The writers knew that Punisher would never be able to do something like this, but thats why what if stories are fun and enjoyable.

I got nothing against Frank but I honestly can't put into words how impossible this comic is. When I heard about the What If: "Punisher killed the Marvel Universe" I thought it would be like this: Punisher starts hunting and killing low level Superheroes like Daredevil, Wolverine, Captain America, and Elektra. I figured he'd run into one who was to much for him and he died. Or maybe the heroes realized what was happening and ganged up on him. But no.
Let me put this into perspective for you man: in the Deadly Knights crossover, Batman HIMSELF was SHOCKED at Frank's level of skill and determination, stating that it equaled if not possibly rivaled his own (this is why he never really tried to apprehend him as he knew what he would be getting into and how brutal the fight would most likely get). So, Batman, a man that could EASILY take out the entire Justice League (you know, only some of DC's most powerful superhumans)
I don't really follow Batman all that much but from what I know it seems he defeats any threat regardless of logic. That sounds more like "writer playing favorites" then skill alone. The human mind and body is capable of alot of things but your still human. I just can't get myself to believe that Punisher could kill all the heroes with what he has alone.
Maybe if the Punisher had more resources, like: "A suit that gave him power equal to the Hulk or something" I'm just not convinced that guns, brains, and skill can do that alone. Plus the heroes just stood around and did nothing. When a killer is on the loose the cops don't just sit back and do nothing, they go after him. The sensible thing to do would have been to hunt Frank down, not just stand around waiting to be killed off 1 by 1.
Like I said, the cops nor superhumans couldn't do anything either A) Because they've already caught Frank a million times before, every time sending him to Ryker's, and guess what he does? Kills all the criminals IN the prison, then escapes. Frank is not somebody you can keep locked up. When you have him captured it's because he WANTS to be captured. And B) Superheroes would do NOTHING to Frank. Every superhero knows about Frank and what he does, and they don't bother going after him
But they IGNORNED him. They could have ganged up on him and subdued him that way. When a guy starts killing off Superheroes the remaining heroes should have just hunted him down to protect themselves and to keep the body count from rising any higher. Its only common since. They could worry about where to put him later.

Batman has a troubled past as well, he lost his entire family a lot earlier then Frank did. All he had was Alfred really. Also despite what Batman had been through he didn't resort to killing. Yes, the only thing that is know to break adamantium is more adamantium. HUlk may be able to break it, don't know about Supes, and Magneto can just bend it to his will. But yeah, when he got stabbed through the chest that's his ribcage bro. Shattered. Even if he had survived, he be breathing pretty damn heavily till he found someway to fix that.
Depending on the Superman, Superman has been known to move planets and whatnot and lift millions of tons, so he might be able to. Magento can just turn him into a ball if he wanted. And Hulk is just a beast. As for making his rib cage shatter, he's been stabbed so many times in the chest with his own claws. Even by other Adamantium ones, so how does Frank Castle end up being the lucky one to do so? Like I said Bad writing. Lol.
Well it's the only thing know to have the density and capacity to break adamanium. Most of the time for a fights sake, say for when Wolvie's fighting Lady Deathstirke or when Sabretooth got his adamantium claws, for the stories sake they don't make it break his bones. The only thing that's fishy to me is how Frank managed to overpower Wolvie in hand-to-hand combat, and made him stab HIMSELF. Now Frank has tangled and beaten the ol' Canucklehead many a time, but never like that.
Apparently Wolverine was very very drunk and not ready. Nonetheless he SLASHES Frank in the chest, note Frank has no armor on. Therefore I am going to imply this as an example. Two Samuaris fight. One gets slashed in the gut, the sharpness of the blade rip open open the stomach causing intestines and whatnot to come out. Adamantium which is stronger then a Samurai sword should have turned Frank into bits of meat.
Oh well Frank has inhuman pain resistance. He's not happy unless he's bloody, beaten, and near-death, that's when he's his most dangerous. Just look at his fight with Daken, or when he fought the guy with the revolver in the Marvel Knights series that shot him SIX TIMES point-blank (magnum rounds!), and he managed to snap the shooter's neck, walk a block and a half to his apartment, then proceed to have a man stitch up the wounds while he took nothing for the pain except for biting downonabullet
I am not saying that he isn't resistant to pain, but I think being slashed in the chest like that should very well proceed to have your internal organs and so forth spill out onto the floor. Now unless you have some insane ass regeneration, you're pretty much screwed.
It all depends on how deep wolvie slashed him. You can get cut anyware on your body and not be that badly hurt if it's not that deep. Even to the neck.

Yeah, I would scan my own comics and put them up but I'm more of a graphic novel fan and rarely get single issues. Anyway I know a few people here who do put up Punisher comics so I'll let you know of them.
As for the movies; the 2004 Punisher film with Thomas Jane was loosely based off Punisher's Marvel Knights miniseries (the one where he fights Spidey, DD, and Wolverine). But like I said, it was very loosely based so it changed and/or left out alot. Thomas Jane was a great Punisher though
imo. The newest Punisher film, War Zone, was probably the one that was the closest to the comics. I hated that one though as I though Ray Stevenson was terrible as Frank Castle and the movie itself just wasn't very good. Marvel just can't seem to make a good Punisher film, but I can see why it's hard for them, because he's so different from all their other characters.

Yeah Frank is definitely peak human lol. He's the strongest as normal human can get. But yeah, I agree, Punisher vs. Wolverine fights have been done MUCH better. IN the Marvel Knights series when Frank and Wolvie fought, Wolvie absolutely tore Frank a new asshole in close-quarters combat. Frank, using his quick-thinking, had to resort to picking up a baseball bat and hitting the only place on Wolvie that isn't adamantium...his balls.
And my friend MtVernonKid actually made a video about pitting the two against each other (Frank and Snake). Personally I think the fight would be even closer than if Bats fought Frank...it would be a straight tie no matter which way you cut it. They're essentially the same person in terms of their skills, intellect, feats, etc. Actually I think if they did fight, they would realize how much they had in common, and go kill some guys in the name of justice.
Snake would win. As good as Frank is, he honestly could not beat half the people in this comic. Nor could he destroy a giant walking tank like metal gear.

No offence to Punisher fans. But this comic is prime example of some terrible ass writing. First off. Like HALF the X-men(So it seemed.) died in like two seconds when they got shot. Second. Third: He killed Wolverine by throwing him into a fence and stabbing him with his claws in the chest? Wolverine's been near vaporized how does that kill him?
And also you know the only thing that can break Wolvie's adamantium bones is adamantium, right? So even if he had survived he wouldn't have been able to heal from those wounds.
Wolverine's been shot in the head, had his entire flesh vaporized down to being a adamantum skeleton, and came back from them after a few days. Being thrown into a fence and stabbed with his claws, AGAIN. And he dies? Like I said bad writing.
Also if War both men had partners. You're on a side after all, you have a team a unit, an army. Also Caps did take down a Nuke solo so you can say he's pretty bad ass on his own. Since he was on top of the nuke and managed to disarm it in a sense before anything seriously could have been done.

@shentaro Lots of people who've never read the mainstream Punisher comics where Frank has taken on Daredevil, Wolverine, AND Spider-Man AT THE SAME TIME and outsmarted and outfought them all. Superpowers are nothing compared to someone with inhuman determination, cunning, and experience. Frank Castle IS Marvel's Batman, in terms of his smarts and the battles he's won.

some of the scenes don't make sense, like Wolverine being fried by electricity isn't going to kill him.
And a number of heroes/villains in the nuclear scene couuld survive a nuclear strike no problem.

i found this book far fetched but then again the entire reason this was written was to have the punisher kill super beings so i guess we are supposed to suspend disbelife for a bit. there were a few inovative moments about how he kills certain people but over all the writing got lazy by the end . the nuking the x people to using a teleporter to kill the avengers. then the ending were we all knew what was gonna happen . take this story for what it is. a big What if?

Folks shouldnt get so mad about this comic. I thought it was fun and enjoyable. its not meant to be taken seriously, alot of these fights that Punisher is involved in would never fly in the canon universe. But it still IS one hell of a fun read. Sure its fun to poke holes in it, but its not meant to be a story for people to say "OMG PUNISHER IS BESTEST." The writers knew that Punisher would never be able to do something like this, but thats why what if stories are fun and enjoyable.

I got nothing against Frank but I honestly can't put into words how impossible this comic is. When I heard about the What If: "Punisher killed the Marvel Universe" I thought it would be like this: Punisher starts hunting and killing low level Superheroes like Daredevil, Wolverine, Captain America, and Elektra. I figured he'd run into one who was to much for him and he died. Or maybe the heroes realized what was happening and ganged up on him. But no.

Let me put this into perspective for you man: in the Deadly Knights crossover, Batman HIMSELF was SHOCKED at Frank's level of skill and determination, stating that it equaled if not possibly rivaled his own (this is why he never really tried to apprehend him as he knew what he would be getting into and how brutal the fight would most likely get). So, Batman, a man that could EASILY take out the entire Justice League (you know, only some of DC's most powerful superhumans)

I don't really follow Batman all that much but from what I know it seems he defeats any threat regardless of logic. That sounds more like "writer playing favorites" then skill alone. The human mind and body is capable of alot of things but your still human. I just can't get myself to believe that Punisher could kill all the heroes with what he has alone.

Maybe if the Punisher had more resources, like: "A suit that gave him power equal to the Hulk or something" I'm just not convinced that guns, brains, and skill can do that alone. Plus the heroes just stood around and did nothing. When a killer is on the loose the cops don't just sit back and do nothing, they go after him. The sensible thing to do would have been to hunt Frank down, not just stand around waiting to be killed off 1 by 1.

Like I said, the cops nor superhumans couldn't do anything either A) Because they've already caught Frank a million times before, every time sending him to Ryker's, and guess what he does? Kills all the criminals IN the prison, then escapes. Frank is not somebody you can keep locked up. When you have him captured it's because he WANTS to be captured. And B) Superheroes would do NOTHING to Frank. Every superhero knows about Frank and what he does, and they don't bother going after him

Yes, I know Frank uses guns, and that's the one thing that separates him from Bats. It's also the reason many people consider makes Batman greater, even though Frank has had a much more troubled past and nothing or no one to fall back on when he lost his family. And I agree with you, this comic is pretty laughable in context, but I have no doubt a man so skilled and smart could punish quite a few superpowered jobbers in tights. Batman has a troubled past as well, he lost his entire family a lot earlier then Frank did. All he had was Alfred really. Also despite what Batman had been through he didn't resort to killing. He even lost Jason Todd whom was a son to him. Bat's has his own troubled life as well. The Comic is crappy in my opinion. Depending on the Superman, Superman has been known to move planets and whatnot and lift millions of tons, so he might be able to. Magento can just turn him into a ball if he wanted. And Hulk is just a beast. As for making his rib cage shatter, he's been stabbed so many times in the chest with his own claws. Well it's the only thing know to have the density and capacity to break adamanium. Most of the time for a fights sake, say for when Wolvie's fighting Lady Deathstirke or when Sabretooth got his adamantium claws, for the stories sake they don't make it break his bones. The only thing that's fishy to me is how Frank managed to overpower Wolvie in hand-to-hand combat, and made him stab HIMSELF. Now Frank has tangled and beaten the ol' Canucklehead many a time, but never like that.

Apparently Wolverine was very very drunk and not ready. Nonetheless he SLASHES Frank in the chest, note Frank has no armor on. Therefore I am going to imply this as an example. Two Samuaris fight. One gets slashed in the gut, the sharpness of the blade rip open open the stomach causing intestines and whatnot to come out. Adamantium which is stronger then a Samurai sword should have turned Frank into bits of meat.

Oh well Frank has inhuman pain resistance. He's not happy unless he's bloody, beaten, and near-death, that's when he's his most dangerous. Just look at his fight with Daken, or when he fought the guy with the revolver in the Marvel Knights series that shot him SIX TIMES point-blank (magnum rounds!), and he managed to snap the shooter's neck, walk a block and a half to his apartment, then proceed to have a man stitch up the wounds while he took nothing for the pain except for biting downonabullet

I know I've said it plenty of times, but you can't really compare Batman to Frank. Batman might be the closest thing DC has to Frank, but that's for lack of a better example. Frank is a much, much more real character than Batman. I mean, come on, a guy who has an IQ of 192 and has mastered over 127 fighting styles? Who is aslo a billionaire? Who is a member of the Justice League and fights interplanetary villians on a regular basis?! FRank is probably the most real character between Marvel

Yeah, I would scan my own comics and put them up but I'm more of a graphic novel fan and rarely get single issues. Anyway I know a few people here who do put up Punisher comics so I'll let you know of them.
As for the movies; the 2004 Punisher film with Thomas Jane was loosely based off Punisher's Marvel Knights miniseries (the one where he fights Spidey, DD, and Wolverine). But like I said, it was very loosely based so it changed and/or left out alot. Thomas Jane was a great Punisher though

imo. The newest Punisher film, War Zone, was probably the one that was the closest to the comics. I hated that one though as I though Ray Stevenson was terrible as Frank Castle and the movie itself just wasn't very good. Marvel just can't seem to make a good Punisher film, but I can see why it's hard for them, because he's so different from all their other characters.

IN the Marvel Knights series when Frank and Wolvie fought, Wolvie absolutely tore Frank a new asshole in close-quarters combat. Frank, using his quick-thinking, had to resort to picking up a baseball bat and hitting the only place on Wolvie that isn't adamantium...his balls.

Personally I think the fight would be even closer than if Bats fought Frank...it would be a straight tie no matter which way you cut it. They're essentially the same person in terms of their skills, intellect, feats, etc. Actually I think if they did fight, they would realize how much they had in common, and go kill some guys in the name of justice.

Also if War both men had partners. You're on a side after all, you have a team a unit, an army. Also Caps did take down a Nuke solo so you can say he's pretty bad ass on his own. Since he was on top of the nuke and managed to disarm it in a sense before anything seriously could have been done.

Thanks a lot for the comic. I had been looking for it for a long time. If I can buy it physically, I'll do it.
However, maybe you should turn comments and ratings off, in order to make this video and the link to the comic less notorious. They could sanction you for copyright or something like that.

@shentaro Lots of people who've never read the mainstream Punisher comics where Frank has taken on Daredevil, Wolverine, AND Spider-Man AT THE SAME TIME and outsmarted and outfought them all. Superpowers are nothing compared to someone with inhuman determination, cunning, and experience. Frank Castle IS Marvel's Batman, in terms of his smarts and the battles he's won.

Given the circumstances, I get how Cyclops, Hawkeye, Jubilee, Spider-Man, Venom, Hulk, Kingpin, and Daredevil can be killed by the Punisher. But everyone else, no way. How the hell could he have killed Ghost Rider, Dr. Strange, and Thor?

They have to make sure guys without Superpowers won't look weak next to guys WITH superpowers. So they turn guys like Spidey, Magneto, and even the Hulk into jobbers. If regular people armed with some guns and knives could kill cosmic beings then police would manage supervillains as well as they do regular criminals. Doesnt make sense does it? Regular human < Criminals < Superheros < Regular human?!? WTF
Impossible...but fun.
