  • Someone very wise said that the worse thing other than a fake Rolex is a real one. I do like the new sub-c though but would probably go with a IWC portuguese.

  • Perfection my ass. Rolex has one of the worst lume of any watch. Google it. They are still using old ass movements without any decoration. Perfection my ass lol

  • JUST MAKE IT IN CHINA LOL

  • It looks like the watches are being made in a big rush. Not good for a company like Rolex.

  • Perfextion

  • when i saw the price list on some of these models i was surprised,as they were actually even more money than i had thought.i will hold with my Tissot[swiss movement also]and trusty Seiko auto.i am told the Rolex movement,to be fair, is superb by any standard.i clocked an old [20 years]one once for accuracy and found it PRECISELY spot on the money.the feel was really upscale too,i did feel the design was a little too bland, but it was to sure a heck of a great watch.

  • Perfection with hollow center links? Don't get me started.

  • lol i was annoyed by the french women talking...

so i hit the mute button.

    yea rolex is quality

  • I started enjoying the video once I hit mute.

  • Why are they speaking Chinese?

  • fuck rolex,buy omega

  • each time i see such a report , i remember why i collect rolex watches

  • @coinageboy dont u mean slapheads lol

  • Is there that many people buying rolex's that they need whole army of people working like this?

  • @sickasso72 only in Europe...

  • @coinageboy It's not gooks it's chinks. Get your slurs right.

  • Hollow center links instead of solid mass?

Yeah just something that fits the prestige of Rolex!

  • @coinageboy You know what? I bought one a year ago (knowing full well it was fake) But I got to tell you, The accuracy is astonishing. I set it to the second from the atomic clock, and 6 months later, It was off 3 seconds. I have worn it snorkling in the Florida Keys (it's a Mariner copy) and took it to a depth of 40 feet. No leaks at all. And, unless you know what to look for, you can't tell it's fake. Best $70 I ever spent.

  • @sixstringfretter Where did you buy it? Please tell me!

  • @gtarules1 lol I bought it off a guy on the street in Dallas TX. He was asking $200 and I talked him down to $70. I have had Rolex (real) owners compliment me on my watch! I just smile and say "thank you".

  • @sixstringfretter ahaha, nice, nice...is it "gold" or stainless steel? Anyway, mind if you send me some pics :p?

  • The commentator said in french that the watches ARE assembled in a clean room ... but the movements perhaps aren't assembled in a clean room.

  • Why aren't the watches being assembled in a Clean Room?

This vid illustrates why more and more new Rolex buyers are complaining on watch forums of finding dust on the inside of the watches, on the dials. Not a big issue for most brands out there. But when you're a company like Rolex, you're held to a higher standard. I have inexpensive automatics that don't suffer from that issue.

  • @NGMonocrom because they can take a little dust :p get real mate.

  • @NGMonocrom

I have a $12 Lorus (AKA Seiko) and it doesn't even have that problem.

  • @NGMonocrom Thats so true. My first Rolex I bought new had dust inside it. They are becoming more and more notorious for their factory flaws.

  • @NGMonocrom Real watch connoisseurs don't consider Rolex either high end nor exclusive. They're mass produced and over-priced, with simple movements and very few complications.

  • @EpiphoneArchtopLover

Very true. However, the masses still see Rolex as the Be All and End All of high-end watches. Ask the average person about Patek Philippe, and you'll likely get a response of, "I love his films."

  • @NGMonocrom It's amazing what advertising can do to overhype a company's image isn't it. Even with all the over-hype, I've only ever really liked one rolex model, the Rolex Reference 6062 Perpetual Calendar. Their whole modern lineup is drab and uninspiring.

  • @EpiphoneArchtopLover

Thats kind of true, but most people don't buy a Rolex for exclusivity unless it's a limited/anniversary timepiece. They are easily the best value of all high end timepieces. Plus you can wear most of them all the time with out worry about it.

  • @Bones12x2 Value?? Rolex are way overpriced for what you get. You pay for the name. Don’t get me wrong, they are well-built, sturdy watches that will likely last a lifetime. But personally, I give a wide berth to any company who has to lie to make a sale. Rolex claim that Sir Edmund Hillary wore an Explorer when he scaled the summit of Mount Everest. In fact, he wore a Smiths watch. He even wrote a signed letter to Smiths stating: “I carried your watch to the summit and it worked perfectly."

  • @NGMonocrom I'm OCD about detail, I fell you with that. If I spent that much money on a watch I would be very very unhappy if it had dust inside it!! I have a $500 Citizen Eco-Drive watch and I found not dust at all, not even a spec!!

  • @liljone not=no

  • @NGMonocrom LOL, not a buyer's probalem, you can easily spot it before buying it. but it sucks for the retailors, having to haggle with the factory to get replacements.

  • @NGMonocrom Human error. Not even a clean room can prevent that.

  • @buddythedog12345

Human error on every single Rolex watch in the display case of one AD?

Highly doubtful. A clean room can prevent that sort of thing to a large degree. Also, why is it that my Timex is dust free? Along with my Orient black Mako, and my Citizen. But those are all large brands. However, even my Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro diver is dust free. And that's from a micro brand. For what Rolex charges, they need to maintain much higher standards.

  • @NGMonocrom I did NOT say every watch. Obviously not every single watch is not going to have defects in it. I'm saying some. Why? Human error! It's impossible for something to be absolutely perfect, no matter what it is. It doesn't have to be just watches. It can be a car or a house as well. I have a Timex, Invicta, and a Rolex. They all have some sort of problem. My Invicta is an "inexpensive automatic," but it still has a spec of dust inside of the dial.

  • @NGMonocrom

I think the demand for rolex is to high since they do so much sponsoring and marketing. Even with a partner company, Carl F. Bucherer helping them produce watches the demand is still too high. This is why the modern rolex doesn't hold its value. Also if you walk into any watch luxury watch dealer just look at how many rolexs they have compared to their other brands. It's usually 2 to 3 times the amount. That has to tell you something.

  • @mattie5489

You make some excellent points. You also highlighted why I'll never buy a modern-day Rolex. Best to go with a vintage model if one really desires a Rolex.

  • Wow...................Awesome!!!

  • What an awsome factory. Does anyone who is ugly ever work there. Perfectly directed was this info-mercial.

  • @BBMix I saw plently of "ordinary folks" walking around the factory.

  • BRAVO.`. !!!

  • Nice!
