This is the first and only FF game I've ever beaten; it'll always be within my heart.

I've only played FF 1-7 and I think that from a combat perspective this is the best game in the series. Characters were customizable, but they didn't go overboard with it like in 6 and 7 where every character could learn every spell or skill. You had to make choices and figure out what was the best combination of abilities.

At least I'm not the only one that thinks this is the BEST Final Fantasy ever created. I think so too! However, its too bad that Final Fantasy 1-6 are not as popular as the crappy ass NEW FINAL FANTASIES from Final Fantasy 7 to 13.

Personally, I was very fond of FF VIII. Still, I don't think it can compare to IV, V and especially VI.

Well, Final Fantasies 1-6 did not have Tetsuya Nomura ruining the series. Yoshitaka Amano created the villains and characters, and the storylines were much better. What makes me really angry is how Square Enix refuses to use all the characters from Final Fantasy 1-6 and make them the MAIN characters of Kingdom Hearts, while ALL of the crappy-ass characters from Final Fantasy 7 to 13 are NOT USED at all.

Yep. It's goddamn fanservice for the kids, nothing more. Sigh. Nomura's monster and summon design is pretty good, but he definitely shouldn't handle main characters.

I'm really apprehending the possibility of a 3D remake of FFV on DS too.

Same here. Amano's monsters are the best, but Nomura's summoning design is good. That is practically the ONLY THING I like from Nomura. If Yoshitaka Amano was still the main monster and character designer for the new Final Fantasies nowadays, there would be a DRASTIC CHANGE.

@MysticArksRevenge Uh, Tetsuya Nomura has been working in the Final Fantasy series since Final Fantasy IV....He only gained prominence in Final Fantasy VII, when he was chosen to be the character artist. Besides, he had absolutely nothing to do with Final Fantasy IX, so why do you consider that one bad as well?

Trust me,  Final Fantasies 1-6 is the TRUE ORIGINAL series. Final Fantasies 7-13 are garbage.

The first FF I played was FF III (6) on the SNES early 1994. Then I played FF II (4) on the SNES in mid 1994, and of course FF I same year I do believe. In 1998 I played FF 7 and then later on FF 9 and FF10

It's the main theme of the Final Fantasy series, simply called "Final Fantasy" or "Opening". It's found in almost every game.

I havent played FFV in ages after clocking it about 2ish yrs ago. I loved all the theme songs to sum it up short and sweet, but my favs would have to be: battle theme, and the theme at 6:08 (Village of Lix theme.) Feel like playing the game again soon...

I've played through some of the game, I need to get around to playing them again. Game's got a lot of groovy music, especially the wicked ditty at 5:35. I like how the Chocobo theme changes in style in most of the games.
