I used to like Blair and Chuck as a couple, especially in season one, but this scene alike the latest where Chuck ends up hurting Blair yet again makes me think otherwise. I'm sad because the writers could have continued with an epic relationship between these two, one that doesn't involve Blair's feelings being toyed with so harshly, but they did the exact opposite. I can't look at this couple the same way after seeing Chuck hurt Blair so many times.

I'm so sad that you hate Chuck now, but gorgeous video! I don't know how the writers are going to fix it, but I do believe Chuck began to realize just how much he had messed up when he was staring at the contract. The promo for next week looks even more heart-breaking, lol. I can't wait to see Chuck really put himself out there and show all remorse, but I also chalk his actions up to temporary insanity from not-so-dead mommies and evil uncles.

i don't hate chuck. i hated WHAT HE DID to blair. But i get where he's coming from. He opened his heart to his mom, only for it to be flushed in the ground, his uncle basically stole him the hotel that gained him self-worth--that'd make his father proud (recurring father issues). He's been hit with the worst emotional blow than any other character on this show. ever. He's shutting down. He looked dead. There was nothing in his eyes.
I can only empathize with him. but what he did was so wrong.
You killed me. Literally. Your video broke my heart.
BTW I'm mad at Chuck, he did something of horrible but, somehow, I've already forgiven him because he didn't realize what he was doing.
For all his life he felt the urge to prove to his father that he was worth it, and hearing Jack saying "love made you soft", just like Bart's ghost told him... well, I guess it scared him so he became insane. That's why he sold out Blair.
In that moment everything became a blur and all he could think about was how to win his hotel back, how to win his father's approvation back. He didn't understand how much this would cost until he noticed Blair was gone. Seeing that package on the bed, empty, with the card he wrote himself (it's what I think)... just in that moment the truth hit him: he was not selling out his humanity or his feeling (like he thought at first); he was selling Blair.
So he waited for her and acted like a psycho jelous boyfriend, blaming Blair like everything was happening was her fault. Because somehow, in his mind, all this was really her fault. She was the "heart" of the couple, the person who taught him what is love and how to love... she was supposed to be the one able to undertand how much this was wrong and worthless. Therefore the mean words to her, the taunt that made him gain the slap.
Just when he saw the contract, he had the last epiphany: she did this for him. In that piece of paper she put aside her pride and her selfrespect to garantuee to him and to them the life he worked for. I don't know if I've explaned myself enough well. BTW, I'm not even english so forgive my mistakes and again, your video was great!

@sweetet89 agreed. he said he was dead. he even kinda stabbed his leg lol. he seemed out of his mind to me after his "mom" screw him over. so i dont exactly think he chose the hotel over her, he was just messed up and thought he could win the hotel back and B would stand by him through it. but even if i kind of understand it.. i still hate that the writers even went there and i think they made C out of character in this. that's why i cant even be mad at C..

Great video as usual! That 's such a tear jerker! I didnt even cry for the show,but I burst into tears watching this. They have gone through soo many things together,so many bittersweet memories.

Second, I so agree with you. How could he do this?! It's low even for s1 Chuck (who I loved btw, at the time). He was supposed to be changed, he was supposed to love her more than that hotel. I know she used him in the beginning of the season and it hurt him, but it was different. This right now, he's treating her like a high class hooker. I know they will get back to ether, cause they are meant to be, but this is gonna be hard. I could never forgive sth like that...

I'm so sad that you hate Chuck now, but gorgeous video! I don't know how the writers are going to fix it, but I do believe Chuck began to realize just how much he had messed up when he was staring at the contract. The promo for next week looks even more heart-breaking, lol. I can't wait to see Chuck really put himself out there and show all remorse, but I also chalk his actions up to temporary insanity from not-so-dead mommies and evil uncles.

The only person who I think has changed in GG is Blair. That's why everyone felt bad. Because she went from Quuen B Bitch to Soft Lover. And Chuck screwed that up.
But Chuck is Chuck and Blair is Blair. If they get thrown together all of a sudden in the finale, it'll ruin everything. There has to be some twist. Some catch that they didn't tell us ya know? Cause the whole company knows the shows mainly sells cause of Chair and Ed&Chace

Okay. Chuck was a jerk. I cried when Blair said 'Even if means losing me instead" and for the first hour or two, I could have killed the Basshole, but then...he's Chuck Bass. It's him. He's the same guy he was in season 1, with slight alterations. He's still Chuck Bass, just not with Bart's influence...and this is excepted from Chuck Bass.

i don't hate chuck. i hated WHAT HE DID to blair. But i get where he's coming from. He opened his heart to his mom, only for it to be flushed in the ground, his uncle basically stole him the hotel that gained him self-worth--that'd make his father proud (recurring father issues). He's been hit with the worst emotional blow than any other character on this show. ever. He's shutting down. He looked dead. There was nothing in his eyes.
I can only empathize with him. but what he did was so wrong.

BTW I'm mad at Chuck, he did something of horrible but, somehow, I've already forgiven him because he didn't realize what he was doing.
For all his life he felt the urge to prove to his father that he was worth it, and hearing Jack saying "love made you soft", just like Bart's ghost told him... well, I guess it scared him so he became insane. That's why he sold out Blair.

In that moment everything became a blur and all he could think about was how to win his hotel back, how to win his father's approvation back. He didn't understand how much this would cost until he noticed Blair was gone. Seeing that package on the bed, empty, with the card he wrote himself (it's what I think)... just in that moment the truth hit him: he was not selling out his humanity or his feeling (like he thought at first); he was selling Blair.

So he waited for her and acted like a psycho jelous boyfriend, blaming Blair like everything was happening was her fault. Because somehow, in his mind, all this was really her fault. She was the "heart" of the couple, the person who taught him what is love and how to love... she was supposed to be the one able to undertand how much this was wrong and worthless. Therefore the mean words to her, the taunt that made him gain the slap.

Just when he saw the contract, he had the last epiphany: she did this for him. In that piece of paper she put aside her pride and her selfrespect to garantuee to him and to them the life he worked for. I don't know if I've explaned myself enough well. BTW, I'm not even english so forgive my mistakes and again, your video was great!

@sweetet89 agreed. he said he was dead. he even kinda stabbed his leg lol. he seemed out of his mind to me after his "mom" screw him over. so i dont exactly think he chose the hotel over her, he was just messed up and thought he could win the hotel back and B would stand by him through it. but even if i kind of understand it.. i still hate that the writers even went there and i think they made C out of character in this. that's why i cant even be mad at C..

Chuck took Blair 's love for granted this time,believing she would do everything to stand by his side but he didnt know he was actually violating the trust and love between them. I hope Chuck would make it up for Blair.

Also, I am mad a Chuck a little but agree with you, it really is an UN-Chuck like thing for him to do, and I believe that's just bad writing because it doesn't fit his character. I still believe in them of course, the'll always be endgame to me, but this should bring back song angst that we've been missing. Again fantastic video!! So flawless!

Second, I so agree with you. How could he do this?! It's low even for s1 Chuck (who I loved btw, at the time). He was supposed to be changed, he was supposed to love her more than that hotel. I know she used him in the beginning of the season and it hurt him, but it was different. This right now, he's treating her like a high class hooker. I know they will get back to ether, cause they are meant to be, but this is gonna be hard. I could never forgive sth like that...
