yes. the little tires do a couple of things: first, they (and the wheels they are on)weigh alot less than regular tires. this also means they have less rotational mass, meaning they can accelerate faster due to less inertia. second, they decrease the rolling resistance by putting less rubber on the road (think about if it is easier to pull the handle of a rake, or the whole head of a rake across the ground).
What's more fun then getting pushed back into your seat, hearing the roar of the engine and squeeling of the tires while your 800hp vette goes sideways down the street, putting a dissaproving frown on every old farts face for miles to come? I'd rather do that then risk my life at 100mph around a turn hoping the tires will stick.

the acr can handle, theres no doubt about that, but its a dodge.... cheap. the zr1, just wait, magnetic ride control, carbon fiber, magnesium, superchager. oh so good.

the acr can handle, theres no doubt about that, but its a dodge.... cheap. the zr1, just wait, magnetic ride control, carbon fiber, magnesium, superchager. oh so good.

Cheap, have you ever touched a vette, its all plastic. And your right the Zr1 has some cool features, cf hood and roof, magnesium pillars, but its still heavier than the Z06, with an of center wait balance, while the viper's is 50/50, with much more down force.

i meant cheap like in the products they use, all their cars are penny pinched. the z06 is all fiber glass but thats the way their made, that doesnt make them cheap. plus this car isnt very street drivable, and who cares cause dodge is planning to stop making them anyway, cause no one likes them.

i hate to tell you this but the acr will get it's ass handed to it by the zr1. i own a z06 and work on them and they are fiber glass and carbon fiber for the exterior and new for 08' the interior is all leather and carbonfiber. but the acr is drag limited to 177 mph where is the fun in that the zr1 is predicted to hit 210+ and destroy on the track.

dude, no one has a patented on carbon fiber, anyone who chooses to make it can, however they want. And no your wrong, GM has a part division that supplies its parts, its called delphi, and they created magnetic ride control, which was put on the 2001 corvette and spread to cadillacs in 2002, audi buys the product from delphi. Ya, it was created by americans, pooper aint it.

Well, yes, the corvette's base cost was in the 50-80s, but isn't the Lingenfelter package they used about 44 grand? Still, not anywhere close to 1mill, but just wanted the numbers to be a little closer. :)

I've seen the Blue Angels like more times than I have fingers on two hands... they are just as rad every time. I lived in Dayton Ohio for the first 28 years of my life. Daytom Airport hosts an awesome airshow!

your right, they are very fast. because they have a huge freaking turbo. you can make a skyline or supra faster, with less money, than any corvette. i was saying naturally aspirated, they make nothing, at least in terms of performance.

do you have a clue that 1.97s is EXTREMLY hard to get, if you can get under 3s you are good. not to mention, YOU HAVE TO PUT THAT TO THE GROUND. on street tires you WON'T get lingenfelter into 8s territory.

actually that planes putting out almost 130,000 hp at full afterburner, a plane engine doesnt havea set hp, the more thrust its putting out say going 1700 mph the more hp its going to produce, but i bet if they put that vette up against a f-22 which has a 0-60 of about the same as the vette the vette would lose, even though that is one sexy lingenfelter vette
