A little 347 Stroker will fix that and you'll still be N/A. GM ALWAYS needed about 50+ Cubes on a ford engine just to run or beat them, ever notice when you run a Ford CI to CI against a Chevy what happens? Yea. But nice fox, needs traction!
That isnt what I call holding its own.. he got his ass handed to him.... sucks cause I hate chevy's, but I respect them. that camaro hauls ass. guy with the stang needs a better suspension, as you learned... "if your spinning, then you aint winning...." hook it up and put the power to the ground and would make for a better race from the dig.
All that shit aint going to do you a damn bit of good, if you cant even get the power you have now to the ground.... concentrate on the suspension man, fuck the blower, til you can get it to hook with what you have.

First off, the camaro is on an email tune that's pretty horrible. It should trap 6-8 mph faster than it is.
Seccond, there are tons of sweet fords out there but let's just mention that GM had an over 400 hp dohc about 20 years before ford figured it out
