  • Bodo lah mu ni.!!!...x tahu benda...

  • Tried Rebif for 9 months but it crashed immune system: white blood cell count way down from 4 to 1.5 and platelet blood cell count 150 000 to 85 000. That's why monthly blood tests are necessary. Tests also looks for damage to liver. Did like idea of injections 3 times per week.

On Copaxone now daily (i.e. nightly) injections. Hated using autoinjector, with either drug: too violent. Manual is better. Important to inject into fat of body and NOT the muscle. Fat has no nerve cells for pain.

  • u used to take rebif for a few months but i stopped and switched to avonex thay offerd me help taking it but i refused as i was still in denile about having ms but i lernt myself to self inject i still find it hard and i dred my next injection but seems to gt easer its just the side affects that are horrible fever chills flue simtoms badheads swets it pritty mutch sucks as u guys will know

  • E-

I didn't know you were on Rebif. My very good friend in STL has MS, but she doesn't give herself her own injections.

  • I am amazed at how many people know somebody who has MS. Too many people are inflicted...

self injections aren't too bad. :) I'm getting used to them i guess.

  • I don't know how you all use the autoinjector thing (whatever it's called for Rebif). I've always done mine manual with Copaxone. I can't stand the sound of that thing firing!

  • I know, it sounds terrible!

  • They make inject swabs that have a numbing agent. Also bug bite treatments and even like ora-gel numb the site. Aleve is magic! You can check w/your doc if u can also take aspirin with aleve. Swab afterwards. It helps prevent site reactions.

...they told me too...it get easier, better, etc. I am now telling you. But, then...when I was first injectiong...they could stick that 'it gets easier' shtuff... ( shy grin )

  • the needle for the rebif is super tiny, I can barely feel it...

  • ...the needle for Avonex is slightly larger...but, it is quibbling at .02mm.(g) I considered smaller needles at first, but, the med does go in differently or you have to inject a little slower with a smaller needle for IM.

    BTW...I thought rebif was IC?

  • IC? if that means subcutaneous then yup. :)

  • Where did you get yours from?

  • where did I get what from?

  • wat happen wit u..???

  • I'll be needing a smoke as well after I get started on my rebif an before probably I'm soooo scared I absolutely hate needles

  • the autoinjector will probably be your best bet. :) to be honest, it does get easier...

    Good Luck!

  • ouuuchhhh, and ouccchhhyy

  • actually it really did not hurt...
