iMovie is the answer! It comes with the Macbook, so you should have it. Try going to the Apple site and you'll be able to search for iMovie tutorials. Those will give you the general idea of how to use iMovie. If you've never used iMovie before a video should pop up of how to use it. I hope this helps! I have a MacBook too and I'm still learning how to use it! Different from a pc, but WAY better!
There's a little icon on the bottom that looks like a face- that's the finder. click on that, then type in 'imovie' and it'll open up imovie- that' what I make stuff in. It takes a little playing with to figure out editing, but there are tutorials for everything you could want. :3
go into imovie..and click the video camera button it looks like a camera and i screen wil pop up and just click record...idk if thats exactly what you were loooking for.

type in imovie tutorial on you tube it will tell you everything or use photo booth to capture vid then edit in i movie
