this is a brilliant tune, and you do a fantastic job of it, I have never heard it played quite the same. Fiddlesticks is deffinatly a good way to play this tune. cheers eh? keep on fiddling
I love your fiddle playing in this song. My wonderful great-grandpa passed away when I was in the 6th grade. I am now close to 60 and still remember his playing. This sounds so much like his style that I can listen and listen to it. He never had the fiddle sticks, though I think my great uncle played the spoons sometimes on the porch. Thank you so very much for this. It brings back such loving memories. He was my favorite relative and he left me his fiddle.
Hi batfancy! I am very glad that you like traditional music from the former Yugoslavia. My mom is a singer, but a number of years working with Ljubovir Živkov. Unfortunately I missed it I hear him at restaurant "Stara Koliba"...
I love this video! I have just started playing with a friend who plays the fiddlesticks on my fiddle, it is so much fun, and sounds unlike anything else! I love it!!
The more I hear the more upset I am ... who knew such incredible talent existed just a ways down the road... very glad to know it now... great collaboration...!
Whenever my Grama used to drop something, she would say....Ah fiddlesticks! This puts new meaning to those words. hahahaaaa! Excellent performance...Thank you both.
I used to really like it when you played this tune with the sticks on the fiddle. Thanks for putting it on video. It's been a long time since I heard it.
That stuff with the chopsticks is super! What a great sound it makes--it really sounds like two instruments instead of one...guess it is two instruments, really.
Does the tune have a name or were you improvising?
This is awesome (as all your videos are but this one is really cool with the chopsticks on the neck) great playing by both Erik and the Chopsticker and the end is really funny 1...2...3 oww! (assumedly he's ok)
Sounds great, and it's one of my favorite tunes.

I'm absolutely infatuated with this. And you really got a northern roots feel to the fiddle, if that's an appropriate description.

Very cool. I love all the 2 note intervals you get with the bow. Reminds me of the fiddle playing I've heard in the Ozarks here in MO.

were going to try this with some of the Irish stuff we do in the pubs ,amazingly inspirational.Thanks.

Great that you played the Hammon's version rather than the festival version one mostly hears!

I never heard another version but from Dwight Diller who always says to check out Edn's playing...

It's standard for me (ca. gdgd) but that's because I haven't tried the other one yet (eadg? or whatever...)
