  • Más adelante. Brasil-Uruguay 3-1.

  • The ball was inside it doesn't get out off the line .. see it again several times

  • Russia ????? lololololollllllloloololollolololo

in this game play 4 russians,6 ukrainians,2 geogians players

    lolololol

  • Where can I find full match? Please contact me if you know.

  • With a fixed referee and with a heat burning the cold Russians it is easy. I wnated to see this match without Mazurkiewicz, a clean referee and with a balanced weather. Good thing that this shamedly defensive team of Uruguay could not win the World Cup, it would have been absolutely unfair to the fantastic Brazilian team.

  • The ball was on the line, it's a good goal.

  • the whole ball wasn't over the line so the goal was valid

  • uruguay is the best team becous there are 3 000 000 !!!!!!

  • @fideoboca

NO SALIO, FALLO EL DEFENSA, SE CONFIO, STALIN LO HUBIERA MANDADO A SIBERIA A ESTE PINTO.

  • Does't mater how many people live in contry. Football this is game and outside this is fact. Galkeper showed on the line after point. But no body checking.

  • No no :) you did't understand me. It was out side , you can see on this video. And players was stopping play. Because you can see , ball was under line. And it was out side. That. Why they lost. I check video many times and 100% it was outside. Players just stop playing when they saw outside.

  • @LA2007rus Neither the referee nor the linesman signaled offside - the neutral ITV commentator, whom you can hear here, had no remark about that, not even hint that the ball could have been out - Uruguayan players didn't stop or hesitate - it was no slightest reason for Russians to stop playing, as they heard no whistle - it was their own fault and they could not blame anyone else, just themselves. Great trick by Luis Cubilla, also.

  • It was out.

  • @LA2007rus No.

But even so, it was 0-0 with 3 minutes left of extra time, and Soviet, population 300.000.000, had no advantage against Uruguay, population 3.000.000 (100 times smaller).

  • When 3 million beat 200 million. Uruguay have always been the ultimate underdog country in football history

  • @bolso4 That is why URUGUAY is the most footballing country in the whole world. Uruguay is football - football is Uruguay!!!

  • Was that Shesternev with his back to Cubilla at the touch line?

  • @danvonsunnysisles No, it was Valentin Afonin. Easy to guess that it was his last international match...

  • @Farerets ah, found the photo on the Russian site - Logofet and Afonin were near the ball (and Dzhodjuashvili, Kiselev and Kaplichniy near Kavazashvili) ... Afonin was dumped back to SKA Rostov from CSKA Moscow after the Cup)

  • Hey, Ivan, can you upload a few more highlights of this match?

  • Hey

Yes I have a full version of the game and will upload some more highlights of it later on.

  • Supercool ... I've been waiting to watch this game for 40 years (no kidding) ...

  • I have just been to Uruguay for holidays and I am afraid that you're right...

  • yes it was a valid goal, the ball clearly wasn't over the line...Cubilla was a top player, great skill and persistence for the winner

  • GRANDE URUGUAY!!!

  • This goal represents the most controversial of football rules: the ball seems to "touch" the outer side of the field, but its circumference remains inside. The goal is valid.

  • It really was a fine and good goal - however, in Russia they are still disputing it.

  • its not clear if it was over or not. the camera angle is awful and the quality is even worse. there is no surprise that they are disputing it in russia but there also is no surprise that in uruguay it is their greatest footballing moment or whatever. neutral here.

  • I am affraid that you are wrong (no matter the ball was over or not), at least regarding Uruguay... Because in Uruguay this game and this goal are largely forgotten, as Uruguay lost the following semifinal against Brazil, but mostly because double World champions and double Olympic gold medalist Uruguay have many more precious moments to keep in their memories...

  • i realise that i am wrong on that apsect, thats why note the "whatever" at the end. winning the world cup in 1930 and the olympics even earlier can hardly be a special moment since that was practically 80 years ago. the 1950 world cup i will give you as a great moment. but what has Uruguay done since then? copa america 15 years ago? They have disappeared into footballing oblivion. shame too, as they have had some good talent. so back to your point that this goal is forgotten. see next post.

  • Oh man... Are you trying to decide which moments should be cherished by uruguayans and which ones shouldn´t? What do you think you are? A History builder?? Come on boy...

  • i am not sure if you are replying to my comment but i do not see where I said this was their greatest moment at the world cup. i simply said it has really only been their only success at the world cup since winning it. simple. just relax and dont call me boy because you are not my father nor do you know me. never did i say that i should decide which moments are cherished by uruguayans. and what the heck is a history builder? do you mean historian? i'd like to believe i am actually since you ask.

  • Although your clearance let things darker, I understand you´re apologizing and I do accept it.

  • i disagree. i am not from uruguay but that goal and the match against brazil was the last time they have competed in a meaningful World Cup match. so for arguments sake, if that ball did infact cross the line and lets say russia then would go on to win, Uruguay wouldnt have had a single special memory at the world cup for over 80 years. anyway, i am drawing this out too much, i usually dont even post on youtube

  • Uruguay has won a record 14 (!) Copa Americas (most recently in 1983,1987,1995), 2 World cups, 2 Olympic tournaments, a special tournament for all world champions in 1980/81. Unfortunately, they didn't manage to keep the standard they set to themselves, but this is very much understandable - after all, this is only a country of 3 million people, the smallest in South America and 7th smallest which ever has participated in any World cup! 80 years, wrong, they won in 1950 and were close in 1954.

  • again you are missing my point. my point is that they havent done anything in recent times on the world stage and blaming it on population isnt really good enough, otherwise india and china would have the best teams. again, my point is that the country hasnt really had much to cheer about and saying that they have won 14 copa americas with the most recent being 15 years ago isnt really relevant. correct me if i am wrong, but last time around they lost to australia in qualifying, sums it up

  • No, they haven't done exploits in recent times but blaming it on population is a reasonable excuse of course... China and especillay India do not play any real team sport, let alone football. Don't misunderstand me, I am not Uruguayan and have no connection to Uruguay but I worship whem for everything they have done to the world football, being such a small nation - and yes, only because of football, they really put their country on the world map (other example is Faroes, my own country).

  • Greatest footballing moment in uruguay? This goal??? You are kidding, right?

  • There have been many great footballing moments in Uruguayan footballing history and hopefully there are many still to come...

I really beleive that the present Celeste team are strong enough to go, with some luck, all the way in South Africa!

  • URUGUAAAAAAAAAAY!!
