when brett got on top of fedor and started throwing those punches there you see what a real fighter does, Fedor went straight after that arm and allmost had an arm bar there, what Brock Lesnar did when he was taking punches? Oh yeah thats right he went to turtle mode, that is the difference when it comes to experience, Lesnar can take a punch but he doesnt like to get punched at all and that is major flaw in your game. (nobody likes to get punched but i sure hope people get my point)

Everyone talks about how his technique is horrible, but i disagree. I think he has a unique style that works for HIM and him alone. His punches may seems loopy, but they are like guided atom bombs headed to your face. I just can't get enough of this guy. I have an extreme bias towards Japanese fighters, but you can't deny fedor his greatness.

Fedor is definately the real deal. Some are the best at striking(silva), some are the best at wrestling(gsp), some are the best at submissions(aoki)..... I have never, ever, ever, seen someone be the best at getting lucky. Fedor is one lucky mofo.

Are you trying to say the UFC isn't real mma? Elbows are as dangerous if not more dangerous than stop & soccer kicks, even Pride didn't allow them. Stomp KO's are not frequent in Pride, and no one was ever soccer kicked into a coma.
I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. Stomping, kicking, and kneeing someone in the head while they are on the ground all combine to be much more dangerous than elbows alone.
Elbows can end fights when a fighter is technically still able to fight, and are much less defendable then the aforementioned stomps/kicks/knees... this is the main factor in Pride not allowing them.
@CerpinTaxt37 How often is it that they are combined on the ground? Not often, stomps are rare and have only seen one account of someone being KOd by them. Kicking is more common though but are not frequent in KOs, or maybe I just haven't saw many. I agree with you on the kneeing.

It's got nothing to do with it being 'dangerous'; cuts are a part of the game as are knockouts. What I'm saying is that elbow strikes cause fight-ending cuts FAR more often than ANY other strike.

The larger than life opening sequences, the heart-string tugging montages, an audience so quiet during a fight you can hear a pin drop... Fedor is definately the real deal. Some are the best at striking(silva), some are the best at wrestling(gsp), some are the best at submissions(aoki)..... I have never, ever, ever, seen someone be the best at getting lucky. Fedor is one lucky mofo.
I'm not taking anything away from his skill. But most fighters would lose against what he been through.

Its not being lucky, this unmeasurable quotient that you are referring to actually does have a name. Intelligence. Fedor is probably the most intelligent fighter. Fedor possesses a strategic intellect. Most fighters are tactical. Fedor pushes you into making your move(which is always the wrong move when fighting Fedor), and then he capitalizes on your mistakes:MMA Chess. There isn't a fighter in the mma world at the moment who is so disciplined that they wouldn't make a mistake in a Fedor fight.

I had to say it, because you are so fucking stupid. Rampage KO'd Liddell TWICE. Both in 03 and 07. And besides that, Chuck was at the height of his career when he lost to Rampage the 2nd time. He was coming off his 7 fight win streak(5 of 7 KOs) and had the LHW belt. So Rampage KO'd Liddell before he had anything to lose and when he had everything to lose.

Are you trying to say the UFC isn't real mma? Elbows are as dangerous if not more dangerous than stop & soccer kicks, even Pride didn't allow them. Stomp KO's are not frequent in Pride, and no one was ever soccer kicked into a coma.

I'm gonna have to disagree with you there. Stomping, kicking, and kneeing someone in the head while they are on the ground all combine to be much more dangerous than elbows alone.
Elbows can end fights when a fighter is technically still able to fight, and are much less defendable then the aforementioned stomps/kicks/knees... this is the main factor in Pride not allowing them.

@CerpinTaxt37 How often is it that they are combined on the ground? Not often, stomps are rare and have only seen one account of someone being KOd by them. Kicking is more common though but are not frequent in KOs, or maybe I just haven't saw many. I agree with you on the kneeing.

It's got nothing to do with it being 'dangerous'; cuts are a part of the game as are knockouts. What I'm saying is that elbow strikes cause fight-ending cuts FAR more often than ANY other strike.
Meh, UFC is diluting their cards... I still watch, but they will never match the aura Pride created every event.

I'll chalk up the misunderstanding to this being on the internet...
Everyone has a different opinion they are entitled to... I just was a fan of the large spectacle of Pride events. The larger than life opening sequences, the heart-string tugging montages, an audience so quiet during a fight you can hear a pin drop... It was just how the Japanese respected and presented the sport that appealed to me. Freaskshows matches are just a Japanese formality.

I remember in the FedorNog fight the crowd was loud as fuck, every punch, sweep, sub attempt & etc people were yelling. They respected it so much, yeah sure. You can juice in Japan, there is no type of AC there, they fix fights, put on freakshows, and have work with criminal/s [organizations]... All of these factors were exhibited in PrideFC.

@7Lhaxx just the last ufc on versus highlighted the stupidity of UFC's rules. guy is on his back but cant use up kicks when his opponent is on the ground. kongo couldn't use north south elbows to the body. guys who turtle up on the ground with you behind them and your not allowed to knee them in the head.
all forms of kicks should be allowed to a grounded opponent. we would have a much more dynamic ground game going.
as is, you cant even knee a wrestler who takedown whores the whole time.

i understand but i dont see it as necessary. at least knees to the head of a grounded opponent should be allowed. if your gonna argue knees are too dangerous then you might as well ban grounded elbows which open up nasty gashes and are hard enough to break bones theoretically. bare foot stomps aren't as dangerous or even comparable to groin shots. groin shots are infinitely more dangerous and hair pulling is stupid because everyone would just shave their head before the match
