There's more than one person in the room, all with linked computers.This is how ours works (Im a FF/PM) Once the call taker gets the basic information, they send it to the fire desk. The fire desk then dispatches it, and the call taker can see this and therefore tell them. The same is true for police. Not fake...the dispatcher is running through stupid questions that the CAD system obviously wants, etc
