I've been riding bikes for the last 30 years & had a few accidents in my time. I've even come off at around 70mph, over the handlebars. In all that time the only leather I wear are gloves and boots. I believe in the theory that if you don't wear protection you ride a lot safer than those who believe that leathers will save them from any serious injuries. It's not only about how you ride, but how you react when you do have an accident. In my 70mph one, I rolled, got up & walked away.
