@dantheleo - read your constitution. the separation of church and state is a fundamental component of the US constitution...it exists independently of any political movement or party.
@sweatpantsmurphey You are mistaken, read the U.S. Constitution for yourself. After you do get back to me if you can find any part of the U.S. Constitution that specifically states separation of church and state!
@FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7 Believe whatever you like, it doesn't make any difference to me. That's the difference between you and me, I am a person with faith and believe people can believe whatever they choose to and you, as an atheist don't want anyone to have faith or believe in anything. I am happy to see posts from people like you it makes people think of thier own faith and makes it stronger. I didn't think you would do the research, just don't like facts do you? Merry Christmas!

Nothing wrong with being proud of your country, but this exaggerated nationalism tops everything I've seen. I guess I should not be surprised some people in the USA jack off when they hear their anthem or see their flag.
@ojoeable If you want to deny the truth that is fine with me. If you have any currency in your pockets, "In God We Trust" is on all of them" I have been to all the monuments in all the cities and most have references to God and Faith and the founding and historical documents do state, "Endowed By Our Creator!" I have read the written words of our founding Fathers and they do in fact state how important God and faith was in thier decisions. Faith is individual and Church is congregational!
@ojoeable Actually God and Government are supposed to be intertwined, but separation of church and state means that the government can not create and fund their own religion.
@FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7 See in England they had the Church of England where the government created their own religion, that's part of the reason why people came to America. The founders decided that they did not want that to happen here so they put that in there. Separation of church and state is to keep the government out of religion not to keep religion out of government.
@LibertaerUeberAlles Actually he did say this, and he is not a "NeoCon" as you say, he is more Libertarian than anything with a few differences. And yes Ron is the founder, but he does not run it. It is a loosely fitted coalition of people and groups. SO why the Blue on Blue mentality? Same side bro......
@masterlionheart they may not have been atheists (although there is no doubt that at least some of them were) but they were VERY clear and specific about religion being SEPARATE from governance. Every second of this video, as an outsider looking in, was horrifying and disturbing.
Imagine this video if it were produced in Afghanistan or Iraq and all these people were Muslims. I dare say that you would be "shitting your pants" to coin a phrase. Don't blindly follow; see what is instead.
@ojoeable@ojoeable I guess that's why God and references to faith are embedded in marble and stone throughout Philadelphia, Boston and in Washington D.C. "In God We Trust" is on our currency and monuments. "Endowed By Our Creator" is clearly written in many of our historical and founding documents. Also, that if you take the time to read some of the diaries, journals and writings of the founding fathers almost everyone writes of the importance of God and faith in thier lives and decisions.
@FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7 LOL You can search the building archives online now and these statements and symbols of faith are in the blueprints dating back to the 1790's but nice try. The fact that more than 70% of the U.S. population is Christian does, in fact make us a Christian nation just as our founders intended it. So deal with it!
@dantheleo percentage doesn't mean anything, most the ppl are white, doesn't make us a white nation. i really don't know what ppl mean by "christian nation", does that mean we follow the bible, like the parts that say slavery is ok and you can sell your daughter into slavery? we are secular, deal with it.

Seperation of Church and State is a liberal philosophy, there is nothing in the U.S. Constitution that states separation of church and state.

Both wrong. Church and state were always meant to be separate. Glenn Beck is essentially ruining what he believes he is trying to "save"

@Anubis4815162342 there are to many things wrong with the American system to count. I will not let them pass me by silent.
"thats the way things are" is no excuse to keep them that way.

The founding fathers were athiests.

Do some research instead of spouting lies. They were all devout christians. So much of what they based our founding on was the bible.
