@PrairieKid03 The truck "felt" a little quicker. But, I didn't dyno it or anything like that to quantify before/after performance. So, I can't say that it added to or took away from performance. Mainly, it sounded better and I liked the way it looked. *shrug*
@obsidianpath Thanks for the pictures, work looks great. I have an 09 Silverado with the 6.2 & I think you sold me on the duals. I hadn't heard of the Flo-Pro mufflers but they sound good. Thanks again for the help.
wat kind of mufflers ya have?? i have Flowmaster and their kinda too loud, with and single pipes coming out behind rear tires.. with big chrome tips..
Just cruising, it's not noticeably "louder" or "boomier" than stock. The only time you really notice it much at all is when you really get on it. But, I think most of what I hear in the cab of the truck is coming from the Volant CAI and not the exhaust system, itself.
Yeah I'm not gonna lie, the new Rams are really nice too. Haven't driven one, but my Lord they sound awesome, look great, and the interior is second to none.
I like my trucks to have a lot of power (WITH a warranty), but I don't want the ride to beat me up, and 4WD is needed. So I liked the Ram SRT10 Quad Cab a lot but with only 2WD it's a bit pointless.
id stick with a Sierra or a good ol' Silverado, ive heard the tundras have some reliability issues, which is strange since its toyota, and toyota trucks have a reputation for being damn near invincible.
from 2006-below it was the 6.0 at 345hp and 375 ft.lbs but then they switched to the 6.2(same one thats in the new escalades) in the escalade its 407 but in the sierra denali its 380 hp , the escalades have a little more torque also but can't remember the torque numbers
is that so??, thats pretty odd i saw that the yukons had 380 so i figured it carried over to the sierras..I just figured since the escalade's a "cadillac" it has to have a little more power (plus the extra weight), but i wonder why the yukons lower?
Yep! That's so. The Escalades are still rated slightly higher in HP, than the Sierra Denalis, because the rev limiter is set a little higher. I'm not sure why the Yukon Denalis are so much lower, though... I never looked into it.
That sounds sick man. My dad has a 08 Denali and we dont have exhaust on it yet. We have the factory exhaust and its loud anyway. If you want to make it louder shift the transmission down so you'll get more RPM's but wont go as fast so you can make a ton of noise and freak out the neighbors without goin to fast.
Hey DaAce when you rev a engine its not connected to the transmission or the truck would move. its just an being feed gas and the engines spinning on its own. Also when you drive, if you rev the engien make sure the vehicles in Park or Neutral so you dont drive through your garage or into your house.
isnt it a great truck!!! i have a 07 sierra denali also and its white. I plan on getting headers, exhaust, cold air intake...leave the fords and dodges and even the toyotas in the dust!!!
did you gain or lose any power with this... im thinkin bout doin the same thing with my 5.3

@richcory No problem! Good luck!

i see that flo-pro made your muffler but how did you get a true dual setup? i guess i'm asking who made the custom setup for you.
richcory 1 year ago
@richcory A local muffler shop did the work. They had the equipment to do the mandrel bends, etc..

How much louder/boomier is it inside under normal acceleration and while cruising?

Quite a nice truck there my friend. I've been thinking about a new truck to tow a boat IF I get it.
I like the Denali. Those supercharged Tundras tickle my inner-hot-rod. Hard choice.

Yeah... I need to quit looking at new vehicles.. at least until I get this one paid off. Every few months I see something else that I want! :)

The Sierra Denalis w/ the 6.2L motor are rated at 403hp. The Yukon Denalis (for whatever reason) were only rated at 380hp for 2007, though.
