Why the hell does everyone hate Lisa so much?!! She was lovely! She made Dean happy, he had a girlfriend and a son, he had this normal life which he'd wanted for a long time... why is everyone to hell-bent on him not getting that?! She was good for him! She wasn't a boring character, she was lovely and knew Dean, she understood him and knew how to handle him. So why the hell does everyone hate her so much?!

I don't completely understand the resentment people have for Lisa and Ben. Dean actually cares for other people like a family? Tragic. As long as he's hunting, I don't really mind them making OCCASIONAL appearances. The show IS about Dean and Sam, but Lisa and Ben give us a new side of Dean as a father type. It gives HIM more understanding of the family life of a hunter, which also gives him insight about the choices that John and Samuel both made. Maybe that's just me.

I just hope no one dies. Even Lisa and Ben. Lisa's a great female charcter...not at all whiny, except after Dean vamped out. Which, yeah.

@lngloriousBasterd Yep, I'm dead serious. :) They're useless, poorly written characters who distract from the actual plot of the show. They don't have to die, though - they can simply go away. And Dean "deserving someone to love" doesn't seem to be as high on his list of priorities as some people are trying to make it out to be. You know, considering Lisa and Ben don't even cross his mind until they're randomly tossed into an episode. And shipping has absolutely nothing to do with that.

Supernatural should have ended with the Season 5 finale. That was the logical closure point. Throughout Season 6 I haven't had a clue which direction the show is taking. There's just too much happening, and I can't tell what's supposed to matter anymore.

It's just amazing how absolutely passionate people are about this show. They - no - I have to say we do really care about what happens to the characters and to the story, because we love them. They are kind of like family members: you want them to be well, to behave the way we know them. We do really care about this show. That's why some of us are so very critical. It's nuts and scary as well as beautiful at the same time. :)

@Yankeegal567 Eh, I disagree, I think season 4 and 5 livened the show up. Season 5 is my favorite, actually. And I think season 6 has been okay, but the writers do seem to be losing track of the characters. I don't know if they realize what a huge, hypocritical mistake they'll be making if they ruin Castiel and have the guys completely turn against him simply because he's the only person trying to save the world right now. Like someone else said, it doesn't even feel like Sam and Dean anymore.

You know what bothers me? The fact that there's yet another threat of the Apocalypse and the guys don't even seem to give a damn. They're acting like Castiel is doing things just for the sake of making "bad" decisions, when he's actually the only person who seems to care about saving them. If they don't end up forgiving him for this, I'm not sure I can continue to watch. Not just because of Cas, but because I'm not sure I want to watch a show where Sam and Dean are no longer Sam and Dean.

I know a lot of people are irritated that Sera said that Dean's worst nightmare was Lisa and Ben being taken away, instead of Sam, but I think people are looking at the statement in the wrong way. Losing Sam will always be Dean's greatest fear - but Sam can easily defend himself. Lisa and Ben, however, are pretty much powerless against supernatural forces. It seems normal for Dean to worry more about their well-being as a general rule because they can't protect themselves like his brother can.

I really hope that is finally the end of that whole Braeden storyline and they are finally gone for good. It was a stupid idea from the start and personally I never believed Dean would have went to them in the first place, precisely because he knew they could be in danger because of his past, even if he was "retired". It's totally out of character for him, but Sera wanted her "domestic storyline" to keep Dean out of commission, so who cares about keeping people in character.

Dean, even after he "came out of retirement," wanted to protect and watch over them b.c. to him they are family just like sam, bobby, and cas. So its not out of character he just wants to protect them like he does with all his family :)

I'm hoping it just means it's his worst fear to see more people he cares about in harm's way, but the way Gamble keeps wording it is like she's trying to force Lisa and Ben into some top priority suddenly. I don't HATE Lisa and Ben but I'm ready for them to go away, they serve no real purpose to the show.

It's like one minute he's concerned, the next they go out of the picture entirely, until they decide they need a change of pace and add them back in again. It's too wishy washy for me. The whole Dean being a 'family man' was just odd to see and incredibly awkward to watch.

I know. They keep forcing this storyline. The characters are contrite, forced, and bring no actual tension to the show apart from the viewers collectively wondering when they'll finally go away. I hope they mean "worst nightmare" as in Dean knew that he was risking their lives and this is just that fear coming true. But there's no way they're above Sam, Bobby, or Cass.
