My first day in my dorm in the autumn of 1972 @ Boston University I met my roommate who had got to our room first. He had a poster on the wall of bonnie and she was looking hot. I thought who the hell is that chick. Thank you mike for turning me on to bonnie Raitt!
One afternoon Bonnie came on the stero when I we were together, Van & I. Van told me that day, that at the concert Bonnie looked at Van and was singing and smiling at him. Bonnie, Van was so in awe with you. R.I.P. H. V. P.
Freebo did session wk w/ her for yrs...& others. Started w/ the Edison Elect Band. Bonnie did sumthin on the Grammys this yr but I missed it..a dueo I heard?
Another gem from the Ultrasonic vaults. Thank god these still exist. My undying thanks to those who recorded this and so many other great shows at this studio and at My Father's Place, Roslyn Long Island.
...ain't nothing like going back 39 years to hear a song you once played everyday. Man- I'm getting old. "Keep drinkin' Dr. Pepper". Aloha and Cheers to you all from sunny New Zealand.
I googled Ultrasonic Studios 1972 and found a site where I downloaded this entire radio broadcast (both CDs). It's awesome! Love Bonnie Raitt, and Lowell George is my personal guitar hero.
Holy Moly! This is out of this world! Thank you so much. I cannot believe it. I will stop at nothing to get this now. This is a jewel -- they almost do the intro to "Spoonful" at the start. The blues roots are so evident. Bonnie's voice is like honeyed bourbon. every note is meaningful - the guitar is literally searching for home. Thank you Zee.
Oh Bonnie..THE GOOD OLE DAYS...1972...can you believe, getting close to forty years...and who know...STILL SOUNDING FANTASTIC...Love you Girlfriend...thank you for this....we are with you. in spirit...Love you!!
zeeyoutoo thanks for the upload of an ubscure ditty from 3 absolute blues playing fools on one of Stevie Winwood's best tunes, "And I'm Wasted and I Can't Find My Way Home" My memories are somewhat fuzzy, but around the time this was recorded I believe I was having my fair share of similar experiences! 5*****'s!
@hakaka1 These bootlegs were never commercialy released. They are available for download on several internet sites under various names and playlists. One of the best, and still easily found, is a compilation called Sofa Blues
@zeeyoutoo I found the whole session of this with several other gems on a site you probably already know of - I keep getting blocked trying to post the name - Sorry!
