I really don't think the birds care, when it's freezing cold and it's a case of live or die!! They also say don't feed fat balls in the netting provided as their feet can get tangled, never had that happen in years of feeding fat balls. I think sometimes it gets a bit "don't don't don't" to the detriment of the birds! A bit laughable when birds are grateful for any left overs. Probably 1 bird had a problem that is it!! thanks for the vid, will copy :)
Yes the RSPB say that it can get clogged in the feathers. Never seen it myself but better to be safe than sorry. I'll leave the video on as you've raised a good point. Public service broadcasting at its best :)
Hi, really enjoyed your other videos. Even though for years we may have put meat juices in bird cake the RSPB now recommend that we do not and only use 'un-contaminated' lard or suet. Sorry.
