  • I think I have it but it's really hardly there, I just don't like public toilets or sitting on seats in public and I wash my hands a lot too but I guess I'm pretty oke? Like it doesnt get any worse..but it sucks for people like him :(

  • I started having ocd when i was 11 and im 12 now but the things are small and random and i get over it over a short peoriad of time

  • i was laughing at some of the stuff he did and i feel bad but i also have an ocd wich i thought something was just wrong with me and no one knew what im going through , but i cant stop spiting when i see something nasty or other random shit ...

  • I've had OCD since as long as I could remember. And I do have the most ridiculous rituals ever but I feel like I HAVE to do them. For example: I'd lock the door and then I'd unlock it to lock it again. I wash my hands for up to even 30 minutes, I spend hours in the shower. I HATE shaking hands and touching door knobs, And these are just a few. It's sooo time consuming and distressing,

  • Would anyone be interested in a OCD chat-room?

  • i have OCD, and it sucks so bad, i pray that there is a cure

  • omg i find a lot of common behaviour in this video i experience, god help us ocders

  • I am 12 with OCD. It is so hard to deal with.

  • @1488slav I think OCD did exist 100 years it just wasnt recognised back then. For instance it was believed that charles Darwin suffered from the disorder and he was born in the early 19th century. I would also like to stress to those unfamiliar with the disorder that OCD is not solely recognised as checking and handwashing. Scrupulosity, homosexual obsessions, fear of contracting HIV are to name a few other common ones. OCD can take on any form, some unique to a few individuals.

  • why is it that OCD didn't exist 100 years ago and before?

because of all the chemicals in food these days that destroy your friendly gut bacteria and mess up your liver

do a google search for GUT FLORA OCD

  • I dont get the germ thing. But with my OCD i get the door checking and light-switch checking. I will check my door repeatedly. I will get about 10 mins from my house and have to come back to check the door again. Then with light switches, i have to keep touching the switch to make sure that it is even or flush with the wall. I have to make sure its ok or i think the house will burn down. Mine is mainly "pure-o" OCD. I cant stop certain thoughts and i get bad panic attacks.

  • @mpp101

i do this too. make sure lights n stove is off. and still stand there and say to myself that it is off over and over and touch the switch n make sure it is off over n over. garage too. even when its close but still as soon i drive off i dont think its close. i clean the dishes over n over til it feels clean spotless

  • @lougle2000 I am the same as you as in make sure lights are off and when used the oven that it is turned off. I sometimes have to go back and check this. Been like this for 10yrs

  • Anyone noticed that the sufferer in this video has heterochromia. So cool. I got this, i'm holdin it in myself. I'll overcome it! I'ts gottn alot better.

  • Wow - I thought I was the only one that did that with my washing, someone broke up with me because of it. I know EXACTLY how he feels. So tomorrow, off to the doctors to get a referral for CBT. :) There is always hope.

  • My OCD is this ... Youtube

  • @onsenfoudunom1 . me too

  • I know how he feels

  • I obsessively pick at scabs on my face and I can't stop.. Along with MANY other obsessions. Does anyone else do this?

  • @grvbs8 I do the same exact thing all the time and then some. Do you think I have OCD?

  • I love my OCD, probably cuz it's not as bad as this guys though

  • ocd sucks

  • Can anyone gimmie advise for my OCD it's so complicated :( drains me out

  • @Herbo2k11 What I found helps me out, DON'T THINK ABOUT IT, and no matter how much you want to, DON'T DO IT, just ignore it, I know it's hard, but EVENTULLY it kinda just blows off, I deal with it, and I try to ignore it, I don't tell people, and I keep it to myself and just stop it, my sister once saw my repeatitly slaping myself in the face (lol) and she asked why, I just said I wander how bad it hurts :P because it gets worse when you do it

  • So... OCD is when someone is unable 'not' to give a fuck... shit.

  • I have a suggested cure for these people with these super rare OCD cases. Have them volunteer to be dumped off on some island for 60 days and get dirty or die. Make them only focus on satisfying their hunger and thirst and they will forget about the other things. That's my unprofessional cure.

  • FIRST OF ALL... QUIT WHEAT OR ANY GLUTEN CONTAINING PRODUCTS!! WHEAT CROSSES THE BLOOD BRAIN BARRIER AND IS A LEADING CAUSE OF OCD, SCHIZOPHRENIA AND PHYCOSIS! YOU WILL BE CURED ALSO L-TRYPTOPHAN, BUT START SMALL DOSE... VERY POWERFUL!! ALSO HERE'S THE KEY TO SANITY... DIFFERENCES!!!! A DOES NOT EQUAL B DOES NOT EQUAL C!! THIS IS THE CURE FOLKS!!!!

  • 6:00 omg his seat-belt is twisted.

FIX IT BEFORE I HAVE A HERNIA

  • its destroying my life and im only 21. sucks to have this, really really fucked up

  • I just want mine to go away. It's just too much for a 12 year old to handle. Getting stares when people see you tap doors before you enter, when I on and off light switches, when I constantly turn the handle of doors to check if I get locked in. It's hard. People judge me but I don't want them knowing about what I have. It's frustrating.

  • @povedaangel114 try listening to music, alot of music, that helped me, and im totally fine now (i listened to eminem dun really know if u like that kind of music xD) but music is really helping

  • @Mrmeanyme Thanks. haha :) Music quite helps.

  • @povedaangel114

Not sure if you have a therapist if not ask your parents to get you one, if not the way to get rid of the OCD is to not tap the doors, yes you will hate you, you will want to do it, but don't. You will feel a lot of anxiety, but each time you do not tap the door it will get easier and your anxiety will become less until you don't do it anymore. Same goes for all the other stuff you do, just don't give in to the compulsion like tapping the door etc.

  • I have OCD but I don't really care about germs.

  • I have extreme OCD and it controls my life. It gets worse the older I get. I have tried suicide and failed, I am doing okay now but I am trying to control it myself and failing miserably.

  • i know afriend who did cure few ppl with OCD, if you need help or know someone who does , please feel free to contact me .

    my best regards

  • "And now I'm going to repeat this whole story again exactly 42 times".

  • argh, look I'm not saying this guy doesn't suffer from the disease but in his case it just seems to be so selective. Getting freaked out because he touches something he thinks is dirty and washing his hands like a maniac, but sticking a needle with ink under his skin is no problem. Drinking too much and smoking dirty pot doesn't seem to be a problem aswell for this guy...

  • @jherrman1987 i totally agree!

  • @jherrman1987 u have no idea how ocd can stress you, anything that give relief from this stress, you will try it once in a while to escape your stressful condition.

  • @jherrman1987 and ocd is different from person to person, so some ocd sufferer have ocd about certain things but they have no OCD about other things.

  • @jherrman1987 I completely understand where you're coming from, but having been diagnosed from 3 different clinical phycologists with extreme ocd & speaking from my own experiences, some people with ocd hear about others sypmtoms and think 'why do you do that?'

Its slightly different for everyone, the thought processes and stuff, but eventually if not treated, it can pretty much take over your life. When you actually look into it its one of very few unexplainable conditions by doctors/specialists

  • i hear you. everyday, if i ever knock something on my way downstairs or even touch the wall, i have to go upstairs and try again. :/

  • OCD basically makes me wash my hands, but usually only with water. It makes me count things a lot, lock and unlock locks, flicker lights, move back and forth between different places in my house before I go to bed which is probably the biggest bitch. There are tons of other things I do that aren't as intense than those, but as for the thoughts I have, I hate it, I'm always thinking something terrible is going to happen, and always think of fucked up shit, oh well though I've gotten a bit better.

  • I was diagnosed with OCD today.

I've had symptoms for my entire life, but hearing it today changed everything. Its really caused allot of problems in my life. I just want to live without having to explain myself..

  • I always think I've hit someone when I'm driving. A drive that should take 30 minutes could take an hour because I have to drive back and forth checking the road to make sure I didn't hit anyone. It sucks. :'(

  • Shit sux. Mines gets really aggressive at night time because I need to touch certain things a certain amount of times. Takes me forever to get to bed.

Getting a better lifestyle certainly helps it, the more healthier your body is the more healthy the mind is. Sounds contradicting, but having a routine (a healthy routine) and getting to bed earlier really helps, well for me anyway.

  • I think I might have had OCD before, however I think I was somewhat able to get rid of it. Using the same methodology as in this video. Going into a situation, and forcing myself to do the "compulsion". It was really hard, but now I rarely experience OCD, in fact the only time I really feel like I have OCD is when I'm tired, or if I'm currently thinking about OCD, but I'm still able to force myself to not succumb to the "compulsion" which, again, is really hard.

  • I do things again and again, till it feels right, believe me writting a 2,000 word essay in one evening having to do this.... was difficult . Before I go to bed and especially if Im travelling somewhere. My hands clentch when I get an impulse, I see vivid terrifying pictures if I dont do it and feel terrible. and no one understands. My parents were worried for me for many years thinking i was crazy ..

  • because of personal problems, i don't let my right hand touch any part of my body or touch anything that touches me. this makes my life very difficult. i have to protect my left hand from being infected by my right hand. my right hand is now dry and looks more ragged than my left hand. my left hand looks softer and more moisturized. I can't take a damn shower properly. whatever infected my right hand makes me sick to my stomach. please don't be mean to me.

  • we are not alone..:)

  • I watch porn until I find the right video to masturbate to, it can't be one I have already seen or one that is bad quality.

  • If you can get away with NOT taking medication, don't take it though. In my opinion and what worked for me was changing diet, boosting vitamin D and glutathione (this was better than any medication) and then CBT was easy to apply and as a result, i'm almost symptom free. Not 100% but apples and oranges compared to what it's been my whole life. Personal message me if anyone wants any tips on getting better. I'll be glad to talk with anyone

  • After my OCD symptoms started calming down due to diet change and supplementation, it was a LOT easier to apply CBT. See, people don't understand that CBT is different for every person. One persons OCD symptoms might be SO severe that it's impossible to even think of applying CBT until their symptoms are a little lower. That is the whole reason they say a combination of medication and CBT are the best. The medication knocks the symptoms down enough to apply CBT.

  • I changed my diet drastically first of all and then raised my vitamin D and glutathione levels. I would say after about a month, it started getting better and has gotten progressively better ever-since.. It's been over a year since I changed my diet and most days almost seem like I don't have OCD. Keep in mind I lived with this hellish disorder for my whole life. Diet is a bigger factor than most people think. Just keep that in mind.

  • @halo7982 thanks for the response. I don't feel for me it's got much to do with my diet as thats reasonably balanced as it is. it's more of a mental sub-conscience thing for me which i suppose i'll just have to gradually try to overcome, thanks again.

  • @callan666 I understand what you are saying about the "mental" thing. That is actually the kind of OCD I suffer from. It's called "Pure O" or "purely obsessional" Almost all of my OCD tendencies take place in the mind where i used to ruminate for hours sometimes trying to get a particular "thought" just right in my head.. Sounds bizarre I know but if that's what you are talking about, trust me... diet can affect that bigtime. Can change how hard it is to "let go" of certain thoughts.

  • Jeeeeeez OCD can really rip yer life apart. I know this from personal experience. Cognative behavioral therapy really does work though.. It's SOOOO tough at first but gets SUPER easy afterwhile. Everyone out there struggling with this, there is hope! I have been treating my OCD (and pure "O") for a little over a year with natural approaches and it's gotten about 80% better (No medication). When I say "natural approaches" I don't mean being a hippy and taking a bunch of herbs

  • @halo7982

hey man. when you say "natural approaches' what exactly do mean? i suffer from a minor OCD and i'm worried it might escalade so i'd really appreciate it if you could share your advice on how you've overcome this disorder. thanks.

  • @callan666 Yeah for sure. I'll tell you, first and foremost, it's important to keep your diet extremely healthy especially if you have any sort of neurological disorder. Meds never worked for me so I finally saw a natropath and he was the only dr. who ever helped me with this disorder. You don't necessarily have to do this but I went gluten and dairy free first of all and I cut out almost ALL preservatives. I blend a huge handful of spinach with OJ every morning (actually tastes good)

  • @callan666 Cut out ALL caffeine!! This was something I discovered made one of the biggest differences initially. Caffeine causes stress actually (people don't realize that) and stress is one of the main things OCD feeds off of.., especially oxidative stress. Lastly, I boosted glutathione levels and vitamin D3 levels. This was the final icing on the cake. Just do a google search for "Glutathione" and you'll see why it's so important to boost your levels especially if you have OCD.

  • @callan666 Bottom line though is health. Boost your immune system. It makes a HUGE difference. Don't underestimate the power of Vitamin D3 for your immune health and mood. Take like 2000 iu a day. (that's like the bare bone minimum) Of course Gognative Behavioral therapy works good too but it's sometimes hard to practice when your anxiety level is so high and your ocd symptoms are out of control.

Anyway, all these approaches do take dedication and strength but it's a good solution

  • @callan666 So basically what i'm saying when I say I helped myself naturally.. I mean I just changed my lifestyle and bad eating habits, added a few daily supplements and within a few weeks I was feeling better than I had ever felt before. I was getting to sleep no problem and sleeping thru the night, I could finally sit still, I didn't have nearly as many OCD thoughts and life just started getting better. Before that, I had NO idea how diet and staying healthy could play such an important role

  • Everytime I watch a video I have to rewind it to end it because I'm on my iPod but every YouTube video I do this and when he said he washes the laundry basket if it touches something I do the same but with my hands or arms.

  • I have a ocd, i can control it pretty well though

  • I have to touch everything..lots of times...annoying...

  • @kedd5 LOL ME TOO!!!! especially before going to bed, it really annoys me a lot, but i'm trying to tochc less things and do not think the same think over and over. I remeber I used fail my math test becasue i wasn't sure if i was doing well.

  • @Chris9699 i think ocd is helpfull sometimes , not this exream but, my dad is all ocd with afection, im moving out today but im thinking he'll have nothing to settil him down. ive got a split personality disorder, its extrame cuz my "other " dosent tell me what happend when i open my eyes its scarry, i almost wont to be the other side

  • @kedd5 I have to keep taking out my glasses and like half way putting them on. and i have to keep cracking my neck. and sort everything by color. and if i mess up on something i have to re do it UGH and tons more

  • @kedd5 are you a porn actor/actress??

  • I refreshed this 10 times for good luck.

  • i wash my hands every time after i shit and before i eat...i have ocd

  • @Uprising771 lmfao

  • People tell me i have OCD but i dont understand really ! I wash my hands alot as that makes me feel clean and i hate other people washing up as they dont wash there hands and when they go to toliet . It gets me mad and wen they do wash up i have to redo and wash and ssometimes dry it as it make me alittle upset. do you think i have OCD ?>>???

  • I can totally relate to this, especially the driving and door locking! Thanks for sharing

  • i did stuff like this cuz i wanted everything to be perfect, make sure things are okay ex. check the door is locked, open close the door again, count to certain times, read the same line on a book over and over again plus excessive daydreaming about doing something

  • This is really inspiring

  • @grvbs8 omg I have the exact same type of OCD as you!!!!

  • I have just found out today i have OCD.When i was little..if i did something with one side of the body like blinking, i had to even it out on the other, and if i see one corner out of four(eg TV set) or cover or touch it with my hand ,ihave to do the same to all 3 corners,i have to step on cracks or tiles with the other foot,i count sometimes,i like multiples of 5...i am 18 now and i became used to I now do it unconciously,so no problem. Just forget about it and chill with your freinds

  • I can never touch the sink faucet with my hands after I wash them. I have to do it with my right elbow

  • I've had OCD since I was 2. The thing I was so worried about was that I was going to hurt somebody on accident. It is such a constant sense of anxiety when you have OCD that most sufferers also develop depression(which I did). What helped me was a combination of therapy and medication prescribed by a psychologist. It was a long, hard battle to overcome OCD and depression, but I did it, and I know that others can to. Stay strong!

  • @believerofgod64 I know from experience. with 1 or 2% of people with OCD you and I are lucky to have OCD instead some other problem. Good idea, let's stop going online and complaining about a stupid disorder and both thank our luck.

  • @believerofgod64 They must be ignorant of their obsessions, that is the only way it will leave.Once they don't obey their compulsion, their confidence will build. All it takes is one time. Also, people should consider breaking their daily habbits.

  • An insane man does things over and over and expects different results every time.

  • I rather have OCD or Tourettes, I get the urge to do things three times which includes doin' a twitch 3 times and I always have to start to walk on my left leg. Anyone know?

  • i have ocd and oh my god i cry every night, its nice to see someone who over-powered ocd gosh...gives some small hope:)

  • my ocd has been hell the past couple of months. everything from an intense fear of developing schizophrenia to harming or sexually harassing small children. suicide definitely has crossed my mind as well. the only thing stopping me from doing it is the idea of giving up. to commit suicide i would loose the fight against something that has relentlessly caused me shear grief and unhappiness for a long time. i am going to beat this thing or die trying by causes that i don't inflict on myself.

  • @conday1990 a technique that has helped me is to look at ocd as a learning curve, because by overcoming it you will grow into a stronger person. Dont give up, but insted stay strong and learn to think positive. Urge your brain to come up with a new positive thought everytime you feel your about to enter your obsessive state, or in other words shift your attention to something else. Delve into the source of whats causing your obsession, and face that fear.

  • I HAVE THE SICKEST OCD, BUT THANK GOD I FOUND Zolpidem (Ambien, Stilnox) . IT RELEAXES U FOR ABOUT 5,, HOURS AND UR OCD VANISHES FOR SOMETIME, ITS NOT A PERMENANT CURE BUT U SHUD DEFINITELY TRY DIS TILL U RECOVER, NO MEDICINE WORKDED ON ME BUT DIS

  • I SURE IF MY FAMILY DEAD MY OCD WILL DISAPPEAR PLZ GOD...

  • @RingBearer1992 I do it to make sure my hands are clean and are not infected

  • @RingBearer1992 LOL SAME! DOES THAT MEAN I HAVE OCD?

  • not saying i would just saying if some person with a crack so in the head that it would make them bleed untill the day is at the end

  • it would be so fun to fuck with people who have OCD wash people down with sand lock them in a room with trash with out soap only dirty water make them step on a nail then they would do it over & over again put them in a pitch black room & put mouse traps on the walls & ground haha make a street that just makes turns lock them in a room that has holes up top with pipes leading up to bathroom and make it rain shit and piss freeze vomit in ice cubes and put it in there codoms

  • @leno140 i think u suffer from a disorder too :))

  • horrible sickness

  • @moimigo have you even tried luvox before, cuz im on that and all it does is make me feel worse about myself. ocd meds and many ssri meds hardly ever do anything for me exept give me the most unbearable side effects. my loving boyfriend of 3 1/2 years is my encouragement! i can be with him and be norma,, but if im not actually there with him, my ocd is pretty annoying all the timw and its hard to live..plus feeling depressed and panicky all the time!

  • I'm too lazy to have OCD.

  • Um too lazy to have OCD.

  • @RingBearer1992 i cant even TOUCH the handles....i have to use napkins

  • mmmmmmmm smoking weed!!!

  • he spoke too fast><;

  • thank you

  • I have OCD like this: If my mom asks me something, and I couldn't decide right and she gets impatient--- a few seconds later I say to my mom "I wasn't trying to be mean". She says she knows. I keep thinking... oO(she doesn't really believe me) ...and the conversation escalates into a bad argument when everybody is angry at me. I hate my OCD! What should I do?

  • Is this OCD? If there are items on the table that I want to pick up I will pick them up but not the way I imagined it so after I picked all of the things up I have to put them back down exactly the way they were. And pick them back up again the way I imagined.

  • I have horrible OCD

  • my OCD will destroy me...I have Pure O.

  • @acchildhoodsend Pure O is horrible.. I have that too.. I changed up my diet drastically and it the pure-o decreased by about 90% (no joke) I still find myself ruminating on triggered thoughts but it's a lot better. I never thought diet could play such an important roll.

  • @PIXIEGIRL12341 I flick my head back and jolt my shoulders.

  • @Proudnewfoundlander1 Have you been diagnosed? because there are other anxiety disorders besides OCD that might reflect your symptoms better, they are often interlinked.Smoke and drink recreationally if you want but don't use them to mask your anxiety. They make it a shit load worse (pot definitely does from personal experience.)

  • Comment removed

  • I have extreme OCPD, but I also have a few OCD symptoms such as constant hand washing/fear of germs. Funny how at the start he kept checking his door was locked, I always do this with my car I have to make sure every door is locked and go back several times to make sure.

  • @eggs808 Being afraid of watching this empowers the OCD, watch it and don't be afraid.

  • I have severe OCD and panic disorder. I'm not afraid of germs in the sense I worry that I'll get sick. I just can't have dirty, other people's body oils, or things I can't quite name on me. I don't worry I'll get sick and die, I just don't know why I feel like I do. Never had anyone do CBT with me; all my pdocs and psychologists have just given me pills and more pills.

  • Just think of it as a hungry puppy that's begging for food. Every time you give in to your compulsiveness, your feeding the puppy... You are teaching the puppy to beg. Don't feed the hungry puppy. If you don't, it'll find someone else to beg for food! Hope this helps.

  • I HAVE THE SICKEST OCD POSSIBLE.....ALL U GUYS SUFERING I CAN FEEL, UNDERSTAND THE PAIN U ARE SUFFERING, BUT LIFE AND DA WORLD ISNOT GNA STOP CZ OF US,,WE GTA MOVE WORK HARD...I TAKE AM Zolpidem (Ambien, Stilnox) 20 MG AND DAT RELAXES ME FOR 3...TO 4 HOURS....ELIMINATES MY OCD TO A GREAT EXTEND...U SHUD TRY...IT FEELS SO GUD TO BE NORMAL FOR SOME TYM

  • I have ADHD, OCD and mild ticks. It's impossiblee to mange.

  • I have a small case of it. Sometimes I let the OCD take over enough to see it and stop.

  • I have OCD, and I'm 14 somethings in this video. while making this comment I keep hitting backspace, letter, backspace, letter and going over and over. Somethings in this video are exactly same with me but not all. I too hate germs.

  • around the time i started school i remember that every time i did something with one side of the body like blinking, i had to even it out on the other, if only i knew back then that there is actually a name for that and that i wasn't the only one...

  • i hope you the best, i know the pain that u went through. this disorder is seriously detrimental to life.

  • @Credative doesn't every one lol, everything must be even! :P

  • I used to spend like 30 mins at night counting to 40 and tucking my shoe laces into my shoes, I would need to add on 10 to a number when I throw something in the bin then eat something in a food bin, and I still do some of this, I only do this becuase I think I will die, is that OCD? please help ): I am 12

  • hi i have OCD , and i am from philippines.. and i am 21 year old i wish some one here i can be a good friends.. thank you:)

  • @Known2Blowminds stfu. It is not bs so try doin your research before saying shit you know nothing about

  • @Known2Blowminds Your ignorance and stupidity astounds me...

  • I have OCD, but it isn't as serious as this guy making out to be. You can fucking live with it you know!

  • @rebekahirish i have ocd too, im also 15 years old. it indeed isnt as bad as the guy in this video but it could get worse

  • @rebekahirish you probably have minor ocd, there are different levels of OCD you know?

  • i used to but i solved my problem with unwanted thoughts in th way that i realized that they were nonsence and that i came to a conclusion that what randomly gets in the head says nothing about the person because the person doess not decide for random stuff to go in the head.

the thing about ocd is that when it builds up on you it stops you from useing the parts of the brain you want to use so that it can presure you in to feeling like you need to do it when the truth is you dont have to do it

  • @Towelman20

i have the exact same symptoms. wow.. i dont feel alone anymore haha

  • i am 19 and i feel that i can get it under controll with my own mental abillities before it gets to that point but reading these comments helps me alot too who ever suffers from this i just want to let you know do physical excercises and it will help alot you waste energy on getting fit not wasting energy on whatever it feels like what you gotta do

  • I remember my ocd getting so bad that it would invade even my dreams.

  • @TheSololobo same here!
