  • I own both. They are both fantastic firearms. Get either one because they are very much alike. The only true consideration might be that the AUG has a very long legacy of proven reliability. I'd trust my life with either though cause of FNs rep. I def like them better than my AR15's. These two bull pups are so light and compact plus piston gas operation is cleaner. I personally favor my AUG cause of the 42 rnd translucent mags.

  • I was between this and the P90 but sorry the 2000 just too future for moi so I went with the cheaper P90. But great video have fun and shoot safe.

  • awesome gun! ive shot one myself but i must say... very akward when first using it but still very cool

  • Wow! I saw one at my local gun shop and I was like, "where the hell do the casings eject from?!" Now I see, awesome gun, cool video. Congrats!

  • lol halo assault rifle

i just had to say that

  • Believe it or not, I've seen this at several gun stores in New York. New York State that is. I doubt the poor guys in the city could get this.

  • That gun barely has recoil. Its like you're shooting a 22lr rifle!!!

  • Trigger control.

  • @OnRappel Took a while to get used to it.

I'm a lot smoother with it now.

  • I bought mine in late 2008, and I still drool when I open up my gunsafe.

  • i am in love

  • And to think the Belgians make this...

  • @Catchaontheflipsyde just admit that we are superior :p

  • @Catchaontheflipsyde along with many other trinkets that none of you ever know anything about

  • How much do these weigh?

  • @VicariousReality7

    7.6 lbs. Empty.

Open up the info tab on the video for specs.

  • @madmaxd1

    What's a lb

  • @VicariousReality7 seriously? lb stands for pound. it weighs 7.6 pounds.

  • the trigger on these things are sooo mushy

  • I always question that when it has to have such a big body...And when I check the design on the internet, most of the stock is empty inside.

  • @Shelbywuyutong

The design is a bit oversized, even though the butt stock houses the bolt carrier group and trigger group. I think it is mostly due aesthetics with their thumbhole design. The Styer AUG design is a more streamline design, the large butt stock design is needed in a semi-automatic rifle since most of its operations are all the way in the rear.

  • @Shelbywuyutong

The space in the stock was intended to store the battery for the fire control system

  • @Shelbywuyutong The gun was engineered to be matted with a grenade launcher which had an electronic 'range finder' (fire control system) for ease of use for firing a grenade. The big butt was to accomodate the battery, since if you open up the back, you can clearly see where the battery would fit. Instead, alot of people carry spare parts of the gun in there -- which is a good idea, though it does increase the weight of the weapon.

  • How do you like the FS2000? Its a gun i have been interested for some time and I am always looking for input from those who actually have them. Thanks

  • @Dearfloatingwater108

I really enjoy shooting the FS2K. It feels unlike any other rifle I own and think that's what makes it a joy to shoot. It's balanced, light, low re-coil and compact. On the opposite side of the scale the chamber is fully enclosed, making it a lot harder to clear FTFs & FTEs in rare cases. Reliability is not top of my list but it is definitely a joy to shoot and it is always a conversation piece.

  • @madmaxd1 what you mean by RELIABILITY??

does it need some battery to shoot?

  • @RizHail Reliability as to dependability or consistency. No, the rifle does not use batteries to operate.

I've had an issue with this rifle which was repaired by FN but besides this, the rifle has worked flawless. Its complex operation and materials used for its construction paired with harsh military usage & environments, makes it easy to just figure out that there are other more reliable platforms out there. Now, for every day sporting and plinking its a great, fun and unique rifle to use.

  • @madmaxd1 What about Steyr AUG, which gun is better at accuracy & stability?

  • @RizHail The AUG is almost 1lb. heavier than the FS2K and the barrel lengths are almost the same. As far as a head to head comparison, I can't give you a solid answer since I've almost no experience with the AUG except for firing it once.

  • @Dearfloatingwater108 I've been shooting mine for a while, if you just give it a good brush in and out when you shoot it, along with decent grade ammunition it won't have a problem, I've only had one jam on mine, and it was cleared by hitting the side of the gun.

  • Belgium weapon (:

  • Will someone Please describe the mechanism of the F2000? I, for one, cannot for the life of me grasp the concept of The magazine being so far behind the shell ejection port.

  • @poitertoip It's like getting an AR, remove the buttstock & buffer tube, installing a buttplate against the back of the receiver, moving the pistol grip and trigger in front of the magazine well and wraping it in a futuristic looking plastic cocoon. As far as the ejection port, the chamber located in the buttstock ejects the round into a small chamber to the right of it and when the bolt carrier cycles, it pushes that spent casing forward into a channel/tube which runs internally to the front.

  • @madmaxd1 Thanks!

  • I love the idea of BullPups but I can't seem to find one that suits my tastes. Fn Makes some nice firearms though. If only the PS90 came in 5.56!

  • @ItsCreated At first when I saw the FS2000 for the first time it seemed like a very un-cofortable weapon but after I was able to fire one, it was the complete opposite with great balance, light and short. Drawbacks: typical bullpup trigger, a bit bulky in thickness and height.

  • @ItsCreated U can always convert it to a 5.56. It's only a millie off. U will have no prob shooting both out of the same barrell, but the 5.56 wont be quite as accurate and will "bore" out your barrell a lil bit after a few hundred rounds. Then it'd be more calibrated for a 5.56. U just gotta abuse it a bit to make it fit!

    GOod luck

  • @TheRyanfourdub WHAT THE HELL P90 is 5.7x28mm vs 5.56x45 am i missing somthing?

  • @tfoshohoe Nahh..

I don't think you are, I think he is though.

  • @madmaxd1 Ok thanks.

  • @TheRyanfourdub Sorry but not quite. Converting a P90 to shoot 5.56 is almost impossible to say the least. It would take a lot more than saving a barrel off and even though their design are similar and are made from the same manufacturer it would be an engineering feat to even come close.

  • @TheRyanfourdub LOL, you obviously have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Trying to turn a P90 into 5.56 is like turning a .38 special into a .357 magnum, or turning a .308 into a .30-06, or .40SW into 10mm. Same bullet diameter, but vastly different casing size. You'd have to change the entire gun. Have fun blowing your hand off.

  • @ItsCreated MAGPUL PDW ! P90 IN 5.56 =)

  • generic gloves comment

  • Whats with the fkn gloves? Oh wait they're Oakley gloves, just like in the video games...

  • @iposcfreaks "Oh wait they're Oakley gloves, just like in the video games..."

So let me see if I can get this straight....

A 28 year old individual like yourself which finally manages to register his own Youtube channel no more than 4 months ago and clearly goes around spamming videos with un-constructive and offensive comments posted this reply???

Yes kid, just like the video game!!!

  • Nice!

Our Eotech batteries died, so we had to use the factory iron sights-which stink!

You figure that with such an expensive gun, they would have provided better sights.

  • @saltyshellback

Yeah... The factory iron sights are pretty crappy... That's why I installed Troy Industries, Flip-up Battle sights which work a little better and also have day and night peep options.

  • Our Eotech batteries died so we had to use the default iron sights-which suck! You figure that with everything else on the gun being top notch, they would have put better sights on it.

  • FN makes the coolest rifles and Hk makes the coolest pistols!

  • @MaseratiChris556 And the FN fiveseven. It's my favorite

  • wow beautiful rifle i love it

  • the fk u wearign gloves for :/

  • whats that thing in the back he flipped up at the end for?

  • @bighed23 This is a trap door which gives you access to inspect the chamber. That last part, the round didn't go off so I was checking the chamber to make sure it was not a miss-feed.

It turned out that the rifle was giving me light primer strikes (miss-fires) with military surplus ammo. I sent it to FNH USA and they took care of that problem.

  • Cool gun, god bless America

  • @iwasborninyourbutt this isn't an american rifle, in case you didn't know

  • Sick ass gloves

  • @senser1080

    Thanks....

Fatbuddy "aaron0313" does not seem to think so.

  • @madmaxd1 0313 is a LAV crewman in the USMC (AKA bitch who drives me around)... He is just jealous that he does not have some Oakley carbon fiber gloves.

  • do you recommend to others to buy this rifle?

  • @BlackbeardArghh

It depends on the purpose for aquiring it.

I would not recommend it as a "WSHTF" weapon. I'm an avid shooter/collector so this rifle as part of my collection is a good asset.

  • @madmaxd1

Why exactly wouldn't you suggest this for a SHTF rifle? Reliability issues? Lack of available spare parts? Weight?

  • @BusinessofATFE You've nailed a couple on the head.

    1) Reliability. Even though my rifle was not one of the early ones that FN had a recall on, it still had issues with light primer strikes on hard, military primers. (Sent to FNUSA and fixed). Even though it is working flawless at this time, the only metal components on this rifle are barrel, bolt, bolt carrier & gas system thus making this rifle vulnerable to abuse.

  • @BusinessofATFE

    2) Parts. There are almost no aftermarket parts being produced for this rifle and together with the fact that this rifle is not popular, it never will (as compared to your typical AR & HK counterparts.

Now... As odd looking as this rifle is, most people tend to think that it is unconfortable but out of all the rifles that I own this rifle is the most confortable, light and it handles like an SBR.

  • @madmaxd1

Fair enough. I was debating between an MSAR AUG A2 and the FS2000 for my next rifle, now I'm leaning towards the AUG again. Thank you for your advice.

  • @BusinessofATFE For the money, you can't go wrong with a AK and if money is not an issue then HK or top end piston driven AR platform would do.

    My 2 cents......

  • @madmaxd1

Already have an Arsenal AK-74M in my armoury now. Love it to death.

  • @BusinessofATFE Those are very good. You're set then (as far as SHTF). I have 14 different rifles in my collection and The FS2000 is one of my favorites, not for it's performance but for it's originality, technical advances, looks and it is fun to use. I've shot the MSAR and it is a different feel. Both of these are high $ toys with corky triggers. I would try them first before buying since bullpups are either loved or hated.

  • @BusinessofATFE The rifle does have aftermarket parts! They are assembled by Browning and are kind of expensive. But never the less there are parts available. The Aug is great but it's Magazines are expensive so if you buy a aug get a MSAR with a ar-15 mag conversion. But the FS2000 is good rifle never will jam if treated right, just the price should drop a bit, along with the scar and acr.

  • If u unload the magazine with a round still chambered and cock the charging handle will it push the loaded round out the ejection port like a normal rifle or do you have to clear it through the chamber inspection port behind the rear sight ?

  • @DramaticGnome1210

Yes, it will cycle and eject the live round as a spent casing.

  • You look so serious, I love the close-up, by the way nice golf gloves!

  • hey man i didnt know it was legal to own these so one question? where the hell can i buy this!!!!

  • @KrazyMultiProduction

Google "Impact Guns". They carry them.

  • @KrazyMultiProduction

Depending on your state laws and as long as you qualify in your state to own a rifle you can own one of these. These are considered a carbine/rifle.

Google "FN FS2000 for sale" there are plenty of them going around.
