go brushless if you plan on upgrading, that will put you anywhere from 30-80 mph, though i doubt that hull will handle too much speed on anything but 6 am glass

Yup.. only 3-5 mph. A 8.4v 700bb could bring it to 10-15mph on 16 cells. BLDC could be faster.
