  • imbressave...nice JOb man Really good Job Espacily its Homemade Recyceld too

NIce nice I made kind of robots like that but you adjusted alot .

Tell me How much time did it take

  • please make a tutorial

  • ur a genius dude!!!! can u pls teach me 2 make 1!!!! i have jst stepped in my engg!!!! plssssssssssssssssssss

  • fuck u

    this is ur game

  • Now it needs a propeller on the top and the back lol and a few bottle rocket launchers and ur good to go. Question, What was the purple lights next to the lens?

  • @theevilcruz LOOL, I will consider your suggestions on my next project (if there ever is a next project..lol). As for the fed lights, they are the infrared leds on the camera (you usually wouldn't see them, since our eyes cannot see that frequency of light / wavelength, but the camera captures them and then we see them through the TV)

  • @venceslau86 gotya im just getting back on youtube my bad it took a bit to respond. Id like to see where ur creativity can go hopen to seeing more vids. take care

  • man guys go get a life this guy made a robot that u couldint even make by using a peanutbutter jar go get a life

nice robot man nice ro bot by the way what is the controller ur using

  • if i was loaded i would build a robot like r2d2,

not the same!!...but similar size and use wheels like him. [walking robots is hard]

fill it constantly with technoligy until its got so many uses i dont know wat it can do myself! so it will be like a droid.

sod it i might just start the project anyway :)

  • oooo wow :) x x x

  • looks like junk.

  • can u make a tut about how to make that thing btw cool video

  • what is that made out of any way can i just take some old toys and make stuff like that in my house or would i have to get this stuff elsewere

  • Awesome robot! I'm 14, want to be a grad at MIT! I have made a robot about 12-14 times larger! It was for a convention, I loaded Windows on to it, used a wireless router to connect to it from my laptop. I used Labview as my programing assistance. It has a airpump kicking leg and the top of it flys open. It can move up to 15-20 mph. It is controlled with a ps2 controller. It has dual processors. 10 GIG Ram! 15 GIG hard drive. It is 17" from ground to top. 3' wide! Mine would really make yours lo

  • That is totally cool!!! I would love to make something like that! I'd probably put something in it to shoot CO2 canisters or something just for the fun of it. Do you know if i could use a GPS chip to receive and transmit signals? Do you know the limitations of GPS in this kind of application?

  • heheheeee, I will rule teh world !

  • i like the remote control

  • its kool.......but the title was HOW TO MAKE ONE...!! and all you did was talk about it and move it around u didnt tell us how to make jack crap!!! so change the title!!

  • its kool.......but the title was HOW TO MAKE ONE...!! and all you did was talk about it and move it around u didnt tell us how to mkae jack crap!!!

  • i also need to make one for my school project but i dont know how to make it :(

  • curious, how did you make the motor reverse itself back and forth I know its basic but I would like to know as I am a begginer in robotics I want to go to college for robotics and the like and I'm trying to get a little know how before I do so. If you have any links that would help to.

  • @MegaFracture To reverse the direction of motion, in these motors...since they are stepper, everything is done in the control module. It's basically just switching the clock signals in reverse mode...but I know this won't make any sense to you. But in ordinary motors (like something you'd have in an RC car...) to reverse, you simply reverse the wiring (switch plus with minus)...and the motor will spin the other way...cheers

  • Awesome. Despite the degrading comments of others, I appreciate the work put into this. I am trying to design and learn about robotics/RC principles. You need to know a bit of everything to actually make something; design, math, fabricating parts, electronics, gear ratios, tool usage, etc. Good work!

  • venceslau86 you can fucking own

  • This is not showing you how to make it first of all. Next this is not even a robot. A robot acts on its own. You are controling this robot with the remote. Still I would learn how to make one.

  • nice robot dude

  • very good job, i have finished my progect, its a defence tracking robot armed with a bb machine gun. i posted the link:

    ...youtube.com/watch?v=rWuRjMD1uSs

  • very nice bro

  • What are the materials used on this great robot? How much did it cost to build this robot?

  • nice project of yours''

    can you help me?

I'm also an IT student and we are tasked to do a project in microcomputer and i can't decide ,, on what should i do ''

    can you help me??

    just add me up

    makulet_jerome12@yahoo.com

    thankz will be waiting ^_^

  • i would give u a A+

  • can you give me some ideas of this project then or even the copy of your robot.... i will thank so much if you give me some ideas of your robot

  • haha UR SMART ^_^

  • how did you change the RF problem idk how to change the RF number

  • very good !!!! gg

  • what 3D CAD do u use?

  • i almost made 1 but nails shot at me ):

  • kool

  • it waz pretty sik until ur little camera wheel got stuck

  • I am Robotics Club President of my school in Georgia. And I would like to know where I can get/buy materials to build a Robot/machine. Thank You.

  • @HiBooster you can try makershed. (com) there u can get microcontrollers tools kits... ect... btw.. why the hell r u a robotics club president if u dont know where 2 get supplies...you know u coulda just googled it!

  • The video is named "Learn how to make a robot"

We don't actually learn how to make a robot here...

  • NICE ROBOT!!!! can you teach me how did you build that.?

  • accually you can start out on the vex its this cool robotics set its not cheap but i bought it and now im building like a pro it teaches you how to assemble the parts and how the motors work it is awesome

  • i use assembly and 433 MHz RF TX RX module. But i donw know what i will do in reciever code. Would you help me about algorithym?

  • i actually want tutorial 4 tht..........i would be highly obliged

  • @perfusus well why don't you go ahead and do that then...:) I can guarantee you it's not the same thing...and this required much research and time...

  • really cool, can you make a titorial

  • sick....sick...sick..sick

  • plz make a tutorial how to do that plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

you are the best man ever!!!!!

  • can you do a little tutorial how to do that please???

  • @franzen99 .....little tutorial?....did you see how many microcontrollers he used!?!>!?!?!?! STFU NOOB... please!

  • neet, isnt it controled by an xbox 360 controler :o its good any way :)

  • thats a cool remote control car...but not a robot....

  • lol...Thanks for the comment..

I would gladly suck your balls buddy...but doesn't seem like you own any...

and if you do...you don't deserve them!

I'd like to see your achievement in life...

  • thats what im talkin bout

  • whao dude keep them coming dont let dickheads lick him put i down love the strong spirit hell i know your hell of smarter than me i know hot to built computers right now but im 14 wicht is kinda a 10 year old can learn. keep these ideas in front of your head and youll somday be able to make robots that can communicate to u

  • cool robot

  • good job but that is not considered a robot. It can not be controlled that way. You need to put commandments into the servo. Good job anyway.

  • lol im 10 yrs old and i wanna build a robot soooooooo bad oh and what controler r u using

  • waiting ur reply my friend, manufc.1989@ym

  • What school do YOU go to. I'm a Robotist myself. Only the only things my robot can do is, is crash into the wall

  • Comment removed

  • i want to make the rescue robot using CCTV camera, pls guide me, thx, waiting ur reply

  • really awesome :P

  • TEACH US!!! (you know, how you made it)

  • good work... good work

  • Great. 5*

I just want to start with robotics. I dont know anything. What I know is some basic electronics and advance knowledge in computer programming. I would like to start with projects like it. Where can I start?? any help..

  • thats ******* sick

  • now lets get fancy, make it walk and mount pellet guns on it! :D of course thats just me... love this thing, EVENTUALLY i plan to make one of my own :D

  • it would be funny if right after u built it it explodes lololololololololololololololololololololololollolololololololololololollolololollolololololololollolololollolollolol

  • *&^%ing cool!

  • nice job!!!!!!!!!! ^-^

  • great video i love your robot

  • how did you made this??

  • Ex-Bacs

  • i made one like that but i have a psp as a controler whare i can see through the camera.

  • you need to tell everry one how to make one

  • Please read the description....

    Thanks for watching

  • i love the lights they are xenon bulbs

  • yo mate great robot

    really awesome

but you need to tell us where can we learn from to make a robot like yours :)

    thank you

  • how did you made this?? can you please tell me?! :D

  • Please read the description....

    Thanks for watching

  • well it looks like your just showing it off to us XD

  • maybe I am...

or maybe you just can't read...:D

  • does the camera work? I made one that stores every hour the tape on a dvd.Can you see it on live?

  • Yes, you can see it live, It broadcasts to UHF (which you can pickup on any ordinary TV)...

    Thanks for watching

  • cool man can u teech me how to do it pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Please read the description....

    Thanks for watching

  • thats so cool

  • And i thought Einstien was a genious!!!!!!!!! Damn! what the hell are u doing here? when u should be somewhere working for NASA or sumthing!!!! you got skills Man, not many of us do!! and i am going to try making sumthing meself too!! your robot is an inspiration!!!! Keep building my friend....

  • i got mine fro an old toy

  • ask the hardware stores

  • ok but were can i get hydrolic? i really need to find hydrolic

  • really COOL!!! I am making a robot that can jump but i need something that can make him jump. Any good idea?

  • how about an hydrolic jack which is fast and powerful enough to lift ur robot

  • hydrolic? you mean hydraulic? you'd need an oil pump for that...and unless you're talking about a huge heavy duty robot, then that doesn't make much sense.

There are though ail cylinders, that work pretty good for small stuff - you can get just a little electric compressor to feed the system. Or even some kind of solenoid shaft (you'd need quite some amperage to get good force though).

  • I meant "AIR" not "AIL"...lol

  • can u tell me how to make one like yours

  • probubly the best robot ive seen on youtube.

  • Thanks man! :)

Really does mean a lot to hear that.

    Thanks for the comment

  • You can spy on someone if it had a built in camera! hehe! wait...does it? Anway, it's awesome! :)

  • Yes, it's a built-in infrared camera...:) lol

and video emitter (so you can see it on a tv, just like you watch any tv channel).

    Thanks for the comment.

  • how do you hook up the controller?

  • It's usb....and all it does is simulate keyboard strokes, which my software (on the computer) processes, sending the data out through the ltp port.

  • how do i get that?

  • well, unfortunately it's not that simple my friend.

You need to know programming, be familiar with electronics (if you know how to calculate a resistor you should be good).

The usb controller is actual a gaming pad, through it's software I just made it simulate keystrokes. Example: button A on gamepad = Keyboard Spacebar.

I can't just answer in a couple lines. Tell me what you want to do and I'll give you some ideas.

  • i have a lot of cordless ps2 controllers,

and an rc car controller for a car that i dont use. could use any of those for a controller? if so how could i hook one up?

  • yes u can with the rc controller u need the chip in the remot and the car u no need to chang e any settings in the remot but u have to change iur car chip according to ur use ---other whise consult who know better they may help u

  • that my (friends) is not a robot but a glorified remote control car

  • Lol...why do you say that?

  • dude that was awesome but what was the thing in the back of it? was it a brick

well no matter you are still a genious

  • lol! a Brick! that was funny! :)

    Nope, it's a battery, that's what keeps it going...lol.

    12 volts 7amps/hour.

    Approx 3 lbs.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • wat kind of controller was that?my base to my bot is just a toy hummer and i cant find the controller to it. could i use some other kind of controller, whether it be to another car or to a videogame?

  • dude that was badass. im inspired to attempt, and probably fail, to make a robot now. especially since im on spring break and have the time to plan it out. how long did it take you to build it??

  • hah! Thanks man! :)

It took me about 5 months, like 1 or 2 hours a day.

There was a lot of work involved, since I developed pretty much everything and had to learn everything.

    Thanks for the comment

  • how do u make it

  • does this make its own decisions? or do u have to control it?

  • No, it's not programmed with intelligence, it simply moves where i tell it to move.

    Thanks

  • hmm... you should get some microcontrollers and make it preform simple actions. that would be cool.

  • You are a genius, you rule the planet earth.

  • what microcontroller ? ever use arduino?

  • i have no idea what you said but i understand the process what is the rf tx the recaiver board what is that is it a circuit board ? what is it for how do you use it ? do you put anything on that board? please explain me easier i have no experience background as most !

  • what marerials do you need to biuld one?

i want to biuld one essentially basic one am very interested i wanna expand my knowledge of and advance it to start making ones and plz i need a big favour to reply me and explain me

  • uh...... thats really good and all, but i want to know "how to" make something really cool like that.

  • DUUUUDE, that thing is soooo freakin' badass, I'm jealous. It'd be really cool if you were to put rubber tank tracks on it, you're already using stop-skid steering. I'd really like it if you would drive it around your house from your computer while recording the video to show us on YouTube. Maybe go pester a cat or dog, like I do with my fuzzy critters. Take care, I'm looking forward to more videos. Then you could drive it around outside at night. KYLE

  • Hey Kyle! thanks for the post!

My first intention was to actually use tracks...but the mechanical side of it turned out to be a little more complicated then I expected so I had to turn to this method I ended up using.

unfortunately I left the robot in portugal (I'm currently in canada) and won't be able to shoot any videos with it for probably 2 years. But i'm thinking of making something new!

I'll be sure to post it up!

    subscribe if you like...

    FIlipe

  • I subscribed the first time I saw this video man. That'd be cool, I'd love to see any other videos you would feel like releasing to the public. Did you ever think of wheels on the ends of four spider like legs. Like the TatchComas from Ghost in thee shell? Take care man, I'll be here.

  • awesome!

  • cool you use your game device control to make as remote control ?

  • umm i think youre forgetting the "how to" part.

  • read the information about the video...

  • awesome!!

  • how long did this take you to build and how much it cost?

  • it took me roughly about 6 months (prob 2 hours a day)

money wise...prob around 300/400 euros total (just in materials)

  • You should make it so the left trigger button turns on a super high powered laser pointer!

Then you have Iron Man at your command ;D

very good job by the way that must have taken months to build

  • nice video, by the way how long did it take you to build one? If i just want to make a robot which goes in 4 directions, where should i start??

  • how did you make the LEDs glow by pressing the button ???

  • The simple question is using a relay.

but i don't know exactly what you mean.

    Here's a break down:

-usb gamepad sends signal to computer

-computer simulates signal from gamepad to key that i assigned (example-spacebar)

-my program recognizes the "spacebar" as being and output, so it send information to the LPT port

-my RF tx (radio frequency transceiver) detect the change and "carries is over to the robot"

-this signal would make the relay change state and lighten the led.

    Hope i was clear

  • i love robots and i wanna have 1 but i don't know how to make it

i like your robot and thanks for the information about how to make mine

  • OMG That is the most greatest homemade robot ive everseen! :D I mean like a project kinda thing :D So cool :D

  • AWSOME!! really good work!

  • Wow pretty good what battery did you use and not all of is it home made because the controller isn't home-made but forget all of that you did a good job

  • hi! Thanks for your comment!

    Battery is a 12 volt 7Amp/h.

No, I did not make the controllers for the main stepper motors, but I did make the controller for the motor that rotates the camera (which is stepper as well). I could of made the controllers for the main motors, but when I began the project I didn't have enough knowledge about it to actually realize how easy they were to make! :) So i bought a kit and assembled it myself (I still had to do all the soldering and stuff).

    Thanks again!

  • wow it's really cool!

    but..... are you dutch?

  • nope...canadian. but i lived in portugal at the time i made that robot.

  • very very very good project i like this stuff can you tell me how to build it ?

  • Hey, thanks for the comment! :)

    Can you read portuguese?

  • cool

  • that is so awesome

  • how u make it tell plz

  • OMG People just buy a legomindstorm kit if you dont know what is it just search here on youtube

  • hey pls tell me how to make one!!!:(

  • Your a Fucking Dumbass. he cant just "tell you how to make one", there are alot of intricate steps in a project like this.

  • ur an idiot lol

  • unless you've studied for it you can't learn in that way... :S

Anyways you can do it if you are ready to learn, but it's harder hehe

  • awsome robot!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have tried to make won but not doing well =/

  • You have to start out on little projects if you want to learn how to make something like this. Start by making something that just walks or lights up and continue from there.

  • ok thanks

  • Great advice DecimusAquila. I started out with "lights up" and never moved past it. Today I'm still developing microcontroller based lighting. If I had been busy getting it to do all of the useless functions OEMs are relying on there would still be no product just prototypes.

  • Thanks.

  • Good post buddy!

People should just read the desctiption! :D

  • what things did you use to build it

  • how do you build it

  • please tell me how to make one!

  • If the camera's rotation disk is unstable you could counter balance it with a weight.

  • the prob wasn't it being unstable....it would just start rotating, and not stop...and then the cables would pull it off...but I fixed that bug later...

    thanks for the comment

  • hahaha omg hahahaha when the camera fell off. The noise it makes is 2 funny. does the camera work? if so send it on a mission PLZ

  • heck yeah i wanna learn how to build one

  • how did you do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • cool

  • guys within a month i'll proble post a video on how to make a robot!1

  • Hi there, i love wild life and birds. And i watched this program called spy in thejungle and they had these cams called, trunk cam and boldercam. I made my own little truckcam by attaching a cam to one of my rc toys but to make something would be great. Please get back to me with the instructions on how to build it please. thank you

  • This is more or less the same, remote controlled with a camera mounted.
