  • Great job Sarah! God bless you for your continued faithfulness to HIM!

  • If Jesus could feed the 5000 then why can't he feed the millions of starving people around the world?

  • fuzz

We should ask this: Why don't WE "feed the millions of starving people around the world?"

As Christians, we R God's hands & feet. After Jesus left this earth, he told us how 2 care for people, love them, etc. If u take notice, Christians do take care of the poor, hungry, sick. Many hospitals, food programs, etc. R carried out in the name of the Lord. Much of the starvation in the world is in countries where the Gov't does not know the true God or there is corruption.

  • Perhaps if you gave Him your lunch, He would. Will you feed somebody today? Jesus said, "Whatsoever you do to the least of My Brothers, that you do unto Me" Please read the Gospel of John then give yourself to Jesus Christ!!!

  • Well, I would give him my lunch but unfortunately, I haven't actually seen him to give him my cheese and pickle sandwich. Oh well, guess I'll just keep doing my charity work for Oxfam instead.

I'll do him a deal though, if I give myself to Jesus Christ right now, he can end world famine right right now too. After all, he can perform miracles right?

  • Hi fuzzface100. You couldn't give yourself to Jesus right now with that attitude. The only way we can come to Jesus is humbly and when we get there we need to sincerely repent. There is nothing wrong with charity work but it isn't a substitute for giving your heart to Jesus. It won't save you. God is judging this world now, because of the sin and evil in it. Men/women are hard and rebellious against their Creator. Yet for all who will repent,Jesus offers new life and forgiveness.

  • Really? I find it very convenient that you have to have the 'the right attitude' to 'give oneself' to Jesus. Isn't that just another way of saying you have to be in a susceptible frame of mind? Or have a gullible nature? Jesus, after all, was followed by 12 illiterate paupers in one of the most uncultured areas of the world. You say we need saving from all the sin and evil in the world, I don't think I need 'saving' at all - we are in a dire state if people still think they need saving by God.

  • You are right, the world is in a dire state, all those outside of Christ are walking along the broad road to hell, oblivious of the danger they are in. Those who know Jesus however may live in a sinful world but they are born again and free to live God's way, forgiven of their sin and walking the narrow road that leads to life.

  • The pope recently addressed America with rather a revealing comment on Christianity. He said: "Obedience to the doctrine of the church is the foundation of your faith". Indeed, there should be the words "obey or else" chiseled at the entrance of every church and every mosque. Because, the promised heaven in Christianity or the 72 virgin's in Islam requires a straight-jacket of blind faith. Not permanently of course, only from now until we die. It may be worth rethinking the concept of freedom.

  • The pope isn't a spokesperson for born again Christianity, he is a Roman Catholic which isn't the same thing. Born again Christians trust in God and His word and were freed from the straight jacket of the sinful nature when they received Christ.

  • You're still not listening to me. I can't see how obeying to God (and a frankly atrocious code of morals which no-one would follow if it wasn't for this medieval nonsense) makes you any more free than say an Atheist or Agnostic. I think that simply 'trusting' in God's word is just a reflection of how weak-minded people can be; instead of focusing on real world problems, and figuring out moral stances of our own, people choose to "do good" according to what they can get in Heaven at the end of it
