Hey Cooney, I had some similar problems with my Mac a while ago. It could possibly be your power supply (which is usually covered by warranty, and ends up being free) or your logic board (which isn't covered by your warranty usually, and can cost a boatload of yens to fix). From what you've described, it sounds like your logic board - bummer deal.

Think I had to go buy 2 GB of Memory or something like that and then it stopped crashing and freezing each time I used photoshop.

My 2 cents on the freezing mac: could be overheating due to dust buildup with the warmer weather. If you can, open it up and clean out the fans, air filters and heatsinks. You can get cans of compressed air for that (akiba, etc) - do it outside, it's messy. Make sure all the fans run when it's on.

I hope you have a good warranty on that Mac so someone even in Japan can do tech support. Still, if your computer is freezing I would strongly advise getting Mozy for $5 a month to backup all your files or it will back it up for you so if you do have to wipe your system out again at least your files are backed up. Still nice to see you again.
