I love all the alterna new wave bands from the 80's, but as I look back, I realize they all just wanted to be David Bowie and Roxy Music. But hey, if you have to have influences, you can't go wrong with those two.

The Tinderbox tour was my first ever Siouxsie and the Banshees show (supported by Love and Rockets!) and while Tinderbox wasn't my favorite record at the time (I felt they had peaked with Hyæna) it has taken it's place alongside their very best for me as the decades have past.

Next to Hyaena, Tinderbox was one of their best efforts.The songwriting, performance, production all came together on Tinderbox.

This was a song from the first album I'd ever bought by Siouxsie and the Banshees, I bought it on a whim, just to see who they were, I'd never heard of em till that day. Best thing I ever did was take a chance on a band I'd never heard of, I wore this album out, among others published by Siouxsie. man this brings back memories, they were bad times, I only remember the good times when I hear this though. Are you kidding?! Tinder Box was brilliant (with the exception of Cities in Dust). Her voice was amazing the music was tribal witchcraft.....and even all of the B-sides were great. Whether people want to believe it or not...this album was a pinnacle for the Banshees. Crap after that.!

I know many of my friends back then didn't Care for Tinder Box and The Cities in Dust single...But I still think Tinder Box was one of their best albums! Remember This Unrest? Just Brilliant! the candy man single was genius of course. i remember going to that show in 87 and all these girls were in all black and siouxsie came out in a red mini dress. at that time mini skirts were passe and mini dresses didnt come into vogue till the early nineties.

If they didn`t care for it it is only because they didn`t really listen to it, it is an excellent album & my tastes range from Judas Priest, Scorpions, Iron Maiden , Peter Murphy, The Cure , The Pretenders. The Clash, Cheap Trick , Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder,,,,,, anyways great music stands out & saongs such as Cannons, Cities in dust & Party`s fall stand out

@LordGandor3 Like minds. I range from Metallica to Buddy Holly, to Ray Charles, to Roy Acuff Sr. If it's good, I'll listen. I can't, however, stop going back to bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees and Love and Rockets. Tinderbox is one of my favorites.
