This looks shit compared to the 1960 classic. Who the hell would bring kids to the center of the earth? Brendon fraser should have played Alec, an off beat scott. Michael Douglas as the lead professor lindenbrook & Baldwin, stephen dorff or Edward Norton as the evil count suckrasome. Who is the music composer because nothing could beat Bernard Hermanns musical score. This movie is an insult to brilliance. Cheesed up family kiddy version again from greedy bloated Hollywood superficial producers.

Im sure people will watch it because there isnt any other choice as a Jules Verne alternative today. If its the best Hollywood can put together being as poor as it is with the director & producers riding on a loose idea of Vernes script they will ride on the profits of people like you who would be equally happy watching Shrek or some other juvenille film. Well to be quite honest with you; I seriously think you need to get a life, mate.. of course it would have been fun to see a movie being even closer to the book.. But All you'll get out of it is a whole theater sleeping.. this one is great! it's inspired by the books, but it lets you have a fresh new look on a great adventure ; It lets you get on a "uuh what if I was there journey" which is what Jules Verne is all about. but his endless scientific dialogues, belong to another time..

Besides it modernizes the script and when evr you modernize teh scirpt for an old book tehre is always soem one who brings up teh modern impilactions of the problem and a lame refutal.

i think most people that are bashing the film haven't even seen it yet. I must say the film looks kinda cheesy from the trailer but the whole point of it really is for the special effects and watching it in 3D.
