yea he's got incredible speed. He was in my league in HS and i played him for 4 years when he was at Salesian I and hated it everytime. I played single safety in a 4-4 and the worst thing was to watch Javhid break through the LB's and know that your the only guy left to make the tackle lol. Emberassment
Don't forget the other two "stacked" positions: Oline with Alex mack, a 4 star recruit, and 3 returning starters; and linebackers zack follet, worrel williams, anthony felder, and redshirt freshman mike mohamed(he had 46 tackles as a backup=0!).
Also with former marine rulon davis coming back, a thin line should be thickened.

Ummm, what team were you watching last year? The o-line was flat out terrible last season. How often did they struggle in goal line and short yardage situations? And Mack has been good, but he was nothing close to being a 4 star recruit out of San Marcos HS.
The LBs are very deep, but Worrell had a rough season last year with many bad reads and missed tackles. Rulon Davis? He was also terrible last year. 1.5 sacks in 07. Cal's d-line was so bad, they have switched to a 3-4 in spring.
Can you not read? Where did I say he wasn't a very good center? The guy I was responding to said he was a 4 star recruit out of high school. HE WASN'T. He was barely recruited at all out of high school.
Dumbass, think before you speak, or better yet, learn how to read. You're only making yourself look bad.
if we use riley, best, and our new receiving talent well this year, we have a shot at a rose bowl. (USC making the national championship couldn't hurt)
"Once you stop the run it's going to be pretty much easy," Hefney said. "They can't do too much if we're stopping the run because we know they can only pass then. And we'll have people set up for that." Tennessee Volunteer safety, Johnathan Hefney before the Tennessee versus Cal game.
Knee brace or not, you telling me McKnight is faster than a kid who's faster than Desean Jackson. Not just straight away speed neither. Boy's got some swivel. I've no doubt McKnight'll be a good one. I'll take best over him any day, though.
Please, McKnight's in slow motion compared to Best. Oh, sorry I forgot, McKnight had one more star next to his name and he followed like a lemming to South Central so he MUST be better. LOL Look and compare...you know deep down you weep that we have the better back. hahahaha
He hit that crease like he was shot out of a cannon. Geezus!!! Everyone and their momma was jockin' that freshman back outta USC. Pshhhh, please. 5 stars my asz. Best > McKnight
