By the time Obama gets through putting fired workers from Bain's aquisitions on in multiple swiftboat ads, his closer to 15% (than to zero + 8%) taxes paid, and his $10.000 bets, everyone will hate Romney by the time the general elections roll around. Romney will be emblematic what people hate about the Republicans. Its not the wealthy who we hate (except for Romney), its the Republicans who attack middle class workers like school teachers to make sure the wealthy only pay 8%.

He paid on average 38% on that money when he earned it, now pays an additional 15% on CAPITOL GAINS from investing it. So he's actually paying one HELL of a lot more tax than you! He's getting taxed TWICE on the same dollar.

And Gee, why wasn't capitol gains tax rates an issue when John Kerry was running for President? LOL!! Hypocrites make me sick.

My wife and I teach high school for two different districts. Our "effective tax rate" hovered between 17-19% the last few years. Romney said his speaking fees, estimated at 360k per year, were "not that much". He embodies everything wrong with our economy, tax system and how we allow the wealthy to shape them to their benefit.

He said he got speakers fees from "time to time, but not very much," at the end of this video. I just heard he reported $374,000 in fees last year?!

ANd I also heard him say today that he probably paid at the rate of "15 percent IF ANYTHING," and NO ONE has asked him about tHAT, ie "IF ANYTHING."

Individual tax rates and individual effective tax is very different. Do some research or else you look like an idiot. Mitt's individual effective tax rate is in the top tiers. Effective tax rates for low income individuals is as low as 0% because of tax credits and deductions.
