Many of the Founding Fathers didn't want to put it in but put it in as a compromise with the anti-Federalists so they could actually get the Constitution approved. Also, back when the Constitution was drafted people had much less of a voice (IRC people didn't vote for the Senate, the House of Representatives did) and even then the country still oppressed the shit out of women and blacks.

@Kateycat8 Have you seen what's happening in WI? Their busting up unions. That type of legislation has now spread to about 12 other states. They want to end collective bargaining for union laborers. What kind of democracy would end the rights of the people to assemble and ask for a better wage? For more safety on the job? There cutting social spending left and right in favor of corporate interests. You can say you are happy to be here, but you have blind faith in ''your'' system.

Anti-Flag are not calling out America in particular, they're calling out people who worship peices of cloth that represent a line drawn on a picture. In my opinion it is much more patriotic to want to remove those lines and have people love one another than it is to blindlessly worship a flag. No Borders, No Nations.
