i live in pittsburgh so i would know this. the pens fans suck. no one liked them till they got crosby and started doing good. before that they were just like the pirates (baseball) nobody watched or cared about them.

agreed. Don't get me wrong, there were a lot bandwagon jumpers when we got Crosby and Geno, but there are still a whole lot of die hard pens fans in Pittsburgh, and they outnumber the bandwagon jumpers by a large margin.

Are you saying you are a die hard pens fan?? I have been to a pens game every season since i have been 3. im 14 now. And i was also at the game December 27th, 2000. If you are a die hard pens fan, you would know the date. I hate it when people say all pittsburgh fans only go to games because of Crosby and Malkin. They are great, great players but i go to see Fleury.

Congrats, you saw the comeback of lemieux. The pens are a great team and have some of the best players in the world, that is including Fleury because Fleury is gonna be the Roy or Brodeur of our time. But there was a period of time when the casual fan didn't care like 02-03, 03-04 and 05-06, which Finsfan is right about, but there were a lot of fans who stuck with the team during the hardships, and i was one of them and am happy to see what the team has turned into.

I know what you are talking about....the 02-03 season was terrible....And what really pisses me off is 3 years ago no one in school wore any penguin attire......now 1 out of every 5 people in my school have penguin Shirts or jerseys on every day.....Oh, and like 4/5 of the shirts are crosby's, he a great, great player, but thats the only player they know. They only like the best. If i would ask half the people to tell me 5 penguin players, they proboly couldnt.
