  • It was a French song from the mid 60's that she has translated into an English version about 1995. I recall it from a movie called "But I'm A Cheerleader", and of course "Death Proof".

  • This song isn't old but the original is. It was French, written by Serge Gainsbourg and performed by France Gall. April March is American and covered it in French and English and both versions were spliced for Death Proof. No I'm not a music expert but had the same questions and guess what, I checked Wikipedia!
