Generally I believe women don't fare well in metal. I saw The Agonist just the other day with a bunch of other bands and I was impressed by her vocals. She absolutely crushes Angela Gossow. She seems pretty intelligent from what I've seen in this interview as well. Alissa has certainly earned my respect regardless of my tastes.
