The kids don't need to be that close, granted it's a 75 watt blade cp type heli, it's seems waistfull and slobbish to buy a heli and ruin it on the first flight, and alow the kids in harms way when something goes wrong.
you should get a heli thats easier to fly and could still give you the fun that you had with this one, except you wont crash, try the lama v3. very could heli.
lol :D btw my dad is da bestin sweden to fly rc helicopters and he has come at 15th place at the VM :P:P:P
