In the Frieza series when Goku arrives and fights the Ginyu Force, Vegeta starts talking about the Legendary Super Saiyan as if it took places years before he was alive, a myth or legend etc. Also it was in Monkey form no human with gold hair, then it's mind was too wild or something it blew itself up. So how is Broly the legendary Super Saiyan makes No sense at all.

Broly would be far superior to Frieza in all ways. This movie followed chronologically during the Cell Saga, meaning he is roughly equivalent in strength (more than likely more than) Cell. As far as the Broly "Saga" if you will is concerned, this is by far the best of the three. They progressively get worse as the character apparently loses the ability to say anything other than "Kakarot!!!!!"
