ive been playing guitar for almost a year (im a vocalist, so i've obviously been around guitars and picked one up once in a while during jam sessions, but i officially bought one 10 month s ago and started taking it seriously) i practice 6 days a week, for about an hour and a half each day. I am still havin trouble sweeping. How long did it take any of you veterans until you could sweep? It feels like im never gonna be able to do it lol, my playing hand cant keep up with my picking hand

@number9711 it's mainly the amp bro. If you get a really good tube amp, you can get a good  distortion sound out of it. Like Peavey tube amps,engl (expensive), mesa boogie (also expensive)

The things I would do to get that ENGL head, it's so bad ass sounding. I never realized he uses a LP, I have an LP Studio as well, that guitar is not really easy to do sweeps with, or to do super fast-technical shredding stuff but LPs got those killer tones, I just love how it sounds with high gain
