@itchyhippo We kind of knew how to get around the xfce desktop :-) Kernal releases, versions of software supported by the package manager and stuff like that might be one to add to your review. Any changes in the device managers anything significant.
@itchyhippo it's good to hear an Irish man making high quality distro reviews. I'm on Mint 12 with Cinnamon at the moment. I have tried various Ubuntu versions in the past and Xubuntu 11.10 on my laptop. I've also poked around with other distros on virtual box. I'm all set to start Computer Science in DIT as a (young) Mature student in September. I've tried to dip my toe in the regular uploader waters in the past but now just use the account for subscriptions and comments.
@irishgandalf757 Oh nice one. I'm in DCU at the moment. 3rd year computing student. Yeah I haven't uploaded one in about a month. But that was because of exams. Going to be launching a feature on my site that is going to allow all you subs to add posts to a blog. Try get a bit of a tech-community thing going. Still working on the nuts-and-bolts at the moment though.
@ItchyHippo If you get around to that I'd deff be interested in submitting a trial review or something. You would of course would have the final word on quality. PM me on this if you would be interested in me sending you something. I don't know about video reviews as I don't have a mic and am living at home at the moment and me talking to the laptop might look weird.
@ItchyHippo Yeah will do. Trying to expand into general tech, rather than just Linux. Bigger audience ye know? But yeah i'll prob post a video soon talking about it anyway. The reasoning behind it is to help the community grow. Eg you can post an article or whatever, and you can link to your own site/youtube channel/twitter etc. So if people like your specific content, it might help you guys get discovered. Again it's in the works at the moment, but i'll keep you posted.
if you can't find a binary for an older version of pitivi, you should be able to compile it yourself by downloading the sources. it shouldn't be too difficult.

Great video. But same all you said is the same in 11.10. Same with Ubuntu. Though the kernel is upgraded, and a few minor tweaks.

@Hi675445 newer kernel, newer xfce. If you want a drastic UI change go to Gnome 3.
