  • God Bless the humane society

  • I'm sorry this happened to those dogs. I'm glad you and your team helped them. It gives me hope. Don't stop your kind and caring work.

  • Dogs tend to really love you when you know how to treat them right, ayt?

  • Who is the old owner? A Nazist? It's criminal.

  • To bad they couldn't have rescued the ones from whistler B.C :((((

  • This Humane Society obviously doesn't know anything about sledding. I would never keep my sled dogs like that, but this is how sled dogs are kept in most kennels and they arn't neglected. They have shelter, food and water is given to them once or twice a day or else it will go bad in the wheater conditions.

  • the reason im going to become a vet

  • i dont get it, the report says they lacked shelter but they all have a well built kennel each and its raised so they can get shade and so the snow wont cover the doorway.

they were not lacking in shelter. water yes i saw there were no water bowls and well the food i cant comment on but they didnt particularly look neglected to me. and why are they carrying the dogs when they can quite obviously walk themselves. is that for added drama.

  • hopefully there's still someone "of my breed" able to do good things to repair the mess of other idiots! good job you're worth living with as good friends!

  • I worked for Howling Dogs tours in 2008 and they treated their dogs 200% better than their staff. I'm trying to fathom what has happened and figure out the full story. This is fresh news to me...

  • Respect.

  • I wish you could remove the dogs from Outdoor Adventures and Howling Dog Tours knowing now what they are capable of......slaughtering a 100 innocent sled dogs. At least this owner relinquished the dogs something Outdoor Adventures should of done at the time.

  • Reason why you wont see any water or food in most sled dog kennels is becose they water there dogs while feed, sled dogs are big eaters and are conditioned from pups to eat everything in a setting as soon as possible. If you find food in there bowls you need to start looking at just how healthy they are

  • Buhu ya cry babys, it's odd how the dogs on them chains look happy, more so then most of fat pets people keep. Wounder how many of them 100 sled dogs they give away to a farm where they lived a happy free life:) It's ironic how parents (when put a dog down) use to tell there kids they send it to a farm where they lived with other animals, and now the humane tell grown people the same and they buying into it:)

  • Of all the loyal service those dogs give, to those humans, that's the thanks they get??!! And they shove them into those cramped boxes for transport? }:(

  • i think the hsus should have informed the viewers what is an acceptable way to keep a sled dog team. cause theres no way you can let these dogs roam free. youll end up with zero dogs. kennels with food and water would have been much more acceptable. other then that the dogs dont really look that bad. they look like theyre in great health! if i saw any of those dogs at a dog park, i wouldnt have known they were "mistreated".

  • I feel bad for the dogs

  • You people who think hsus didn't twist this whole thing are no smarter than the rubber on the bottom of my shoes. The dogs are all in good shape, and the only problem is the many pregnant females which is the fault of some animal rights freaks

  • Sled dogs are BRED to run. These dogs are NOT neglected. If they were they would be very skiddish. I was raised in a dog racing family and I know the differences People who don't know shouldn't talk about what they are ignorant about. Humaine society isn't helping this matter either.

  • Let me ask something to yall "dog lovers who care for there animals" Can any of your pets do what those neglected dogs are doing? And dont say they not traind for it becose its just about exersising running freely having fun, i doubt that urs beloved well cared for pets do 1/100 of what those doing yet you the ones they call animal lovers:) you too would prob turn down been conditioned like a pro athlet over been a fat chip eating mongrel lol

  • THEY ARE WORKING DOGGGGGGGGGGGGSSSSS. All that matters to them is they get to do what they do best RUN and WORK, working make them get into good condition hence make there blood run smoother troughtout there body keeping them worm aswell as cooling them of, majoraty of "dog lovers" do not have any idea how you truly keep your dog healthy

  • Well I hope that group finds them homes as they say, usually being rescued by groups like the Humane Society or PETA is a death sentence. Funny how these groups will rant at a dog being on a chain, yet think nothing of giving them the needle.

  • Having owned malamutes, you can't tell they're underweight until you feel them-the 3-layered coat really hides weight loss. And yes, spaying and neutering of pets prevents so much misery.

  • @Lisamm999 agreed

  • none of those dogs are adoptable, they were bred to run, unless some other sled team can use 100 dogs this is probably a tragic ending. SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR DOGS

  • where is the comment I made...I even offered to take two of the females....the majority of those dogs are in great condition for huskies...the people rescueing should know what the sport is and what these dogs are like before making unfounded statements.

  • The dogs do not look abused to me at all. They are in beautiful condition.

  • why isnt bob barker commentating the video?

  • You take a good look at these dogs....most of them are in good condition...I've had a Siberian in the past....these dogs if they are racers are in decent condition for the most part...only the odd one was too thin.

  • one case of crulety doesnt mean the sport is cruel. go

  • I hope and pray someone would the book at some asshole, that has left these dogs with out food, water, and no care what so ever!!!!!

Seems to me, they've been left on the chains way too damn long!!!!!

This world is filled with a bunch of morons btw.

SPAY & NEUTER YOUR PETS MORONS!!!!!!

  • Where's Ethan Hawke?

  • sledding is just another sport that kills dogs... I'd say it's nothing more than dog fighting - look at the dog fatalities at the annual Iditarod. It's ridicules.

  • you're kidding right?? Sledding is something these dogs enjoy doing. It's people trying to make the god almighty buck with them that kills them look at this situation. You also better make sure you keep an eye on where these dogs are. The HSUS doesn't have shelters.

  • @patzivota22 It makes me sad how misinformed you are. a local vet himself told the news media that a sled dog is more in shape than the lab down the street ... just because accidents happen doesn't mean the sport is inhumane. to compare it to dogfighting is unjust.

  • It's horrifying what some people will do to innocent animals. Thanks to all who saved these beautiful dogs. I hope they all move on from this to live fulfilling lives in the loving homes they deserve.

  • aww poor dogs!! I'm so happy you saved them.they are soo cute :)

  • Aww I'm so glad that they got found and saved. :C

  • how

    all I can say is

    thank you, seriously :)

    xoxoenenepienkos

  • great job!

  • Thanks you hsus! for rescuing all these animals my dream job would be ur job!

  • Thank you, HSUS, for rescing these terribly exploited creatures. Scotlund Haisley is a dynamo for the animals, indeed!

  • Wow. That is so sad how they where all crammed in that little carrier thing and the bad shape of it. I hope they are all healthy and all find a amazing home for people to care for them.

  • @Webkinzlover12012 That carrier has been abandoned for years. Look at the wood: it's warped and wasted away. That would NOT be used again.

  • These people from the Human Society are amazing. I just wish I could be there to help.

  • wow! hope they all found loving homes

  • Met Scotlund Haisley during the puppy mill seizure in Kaufman TX this past summer. He never stopped moving and the heat of that Texas summer was absolutely unbearable. The dedication he and the others show is so humbling. Thank you, rescuers, for everything you do. I try to do my little part in this crazy world and I am so proud and happy to see others doing so much more!
