I would never discredit a mans work, but hes simply of shape, which is why Vitali did that number on him in 2008. Short fights=explosive entertainment.

James Toney underestimated the sport of MMA and more importantly, Randy Couture. Maybe now Toney realized that MMA fighters are in fact a highly skilled bunch, and also the fact that it takes far longer than 8 months of training to become competitive on a pro level.

James, This is what I think...Well, I know this. Toney trained MMA and was thinking too much MMA in this fight because he went against his beliefs and tried to defend the takedown. when randy shot in, if Toney would of punched him in the head, Randy would have dropped to his knees and his take down would of been stoppe...d and I think it would have drastically changed the landscape of that fight

@ZR21528 i agree with half of what you have to say. but you need to have more respect for boxing. boxing is its own dicipline. it takes a man to be in supreme shape to take punches for 12 rounds and have the precise skill and timing to deliver blows with just 2 hands. just as a boxer will always lose in the octigon it is vise versa in the ring where a mmartist lacks the precision and skill that a boxer has with 2 hands. two different sports here with two different purposes.
