Why don't i get 30 fps for an entire flight? For eg i took off from an airport with 30 fps and in my approach to that airport i get as low as 5-6 FPS!!!!!!!. That's happening every time. @ciprimatthew You just got to test around with the settings i got winows 7 64bit intel core 2 duo @ only 1.80ghz 4 gb of ram and a sapphire radeon HD 5750 i get around 20 fps at fly tampa tncm when recording 10 fps but when flying 40 fps and the videos do come out good quality and nice and smooth even at 10fps just look around on youtube for fsx settings and try some out

No point getting the high end graphics cards for FSX, unless you intend to run a multi-monitor setup.

GTX 9800 is the optimum card

To take simming to the next level? consider trackIR, or voice control software. There is one in particular that you could try for free. It's called "Multi Crew Experience", and it rocks. You need a headset with microphone though. :-))

I have the 9100 in my HP and it doen't run too well graphics wise. if you want it just for the flying instead of the quality tune down all of your settings.

I am currently looking to upgrade my graphics card so it will run FSX better? You probably should upgrade too only if you are comfortable and have the money for a new card and power supply!
