  • can you give me the link of bautekening

  • beautiful! well documented to show the skill required to create such a magnificent model.

  • go trawl some minnows now lol.

  • Amazing Build.

  • Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • well done mate

  • nemas nejake podklady, plany k stavbe ?

  • nice

  • really amazing!

  • Beautiful!

  • bu gemi modelinin bilgisayar çizim planını bana yollaya bilir misiniz

  • Absolutley beautiful. I was thinking of building one of these ships, but of a cruise ship or something similar. I have a few questions on how you completed yours:

    1) What computer program did you use?

    2) What type of metal did you use? Did the shop cut it for you, or did you do it yourself?

    3) What did you construct the smaller superstructure components out of?

Thank you very much. Again, the model is breathtaking.

  • @17Matt76 Answers on you questions. 1, I use AutoCad2004. 2 Three kinds of material, a- sinkplated steelsheet, the parts for lasercutting. b- fosfor bronze sheet, for the hull and c- brass for all superstructure components. The lasercutting was done at a factory nearby, a lasercutter will cost about $500.000,- A cruise ship is a bigger challenge, I think.

  • @mglasbergen1 Whew... Did not realize THIS was such an undertaking, let alone something larger. Unless I can find a custom metal fabricator outlet or something similar, this may be too much of an ordeal. I may try wood instead.

    Thank you for the response.

  • great .very nice

  • Absolutely, and it also sails with radiografic control.

  • does it float?

  • Thank you for getting back to me. Keep up the great work .DS

  • After finishing a ship I have to give them back to the owner. Because this are very solid fishing ships they want to keep the hull form secret. The only drawing I can keep is the Algemeen Plan, the overall drawing of side- and upperviews.

  • Great job How would a person get the blue prints to this boat. I build model fishing boats out of wood. I would love to try this one Thanks DS

  • to excalebuir: I did solder the hull and I plaster it with 2 components plaster so it is possible to grind within 20 minutes.

  • almost forgot! did you soder or epoxide the hull?

  • what did you use to plaster the hull?

  • Badass!!! Awesome Work. Have you built others?

  • Answer on fiberglass: my goal is not to work as fast as possible but to work with metal as I was a teacher in this kind of work. It is easyer to make a hull of fiberglass but it is inpossible to make all smaller parts of fiberglass. And I like computing as a preparetion for the laser cutting. So, that's why.

  • Why not just build it out of fiberglass and plastic since you're painting it. You can't tell it's metal once it's painted.

  • The skill that went into building somthing like that is truly aweinspiring. Congratulations.

  • Thats F?CKING Awsome man!!! If you go search Time Bandit RC you would see my RC version of the Time Bandit seen on Discovery channels Deadliest Catch!!!

  • WOW This is amazing ship great job man

  • so realistic friend congratulations.

  • OHHH, I want one... How much would you say it would cost for the HMS Daring to be built in this similar way? With Metal cutters and stuff... I really like this but its a fishing vessel and i want to have a rough idea of how much it would cost for me to get a military ship model and then maybe i could convert it to an RC HMS Daring!

  • @HMSDaring1 Hello mr. Daring. I am Dutch, so excuse my English. Y am used to build fishing vessels, HMS Daring would by completely new for me. The first problem is to get all kind of drawings of the destroyer. I think a big problem.

  • @mglasbergen1 Well, don't worry your English is fine! Anyway, well, it would be very expensive and i am guessing that it would be around £4000, so its a lot of money and me being at University doesn't help, Well, i am considering it but it would be a difficult project and the scale, ( i don't know much about RC models) Just bigger than your fishing vessel! I really like the idea its the costs involved, if you can give a rough price then that would be great

  • @HMSDaring1 I do not discuss this in public. Contact me on my website, google for mart glasbergen, ship model building.

But this night I am leaving for a holiday, be back at 30 of may.

How long do you think HMS Daring is? 100 yards? scale 1 : 100 I suppose?

But first my holiday on the mediteranian see.

  • @HMSDaring1 @HMSDaring1 Hello mr. Daring.

It will be secret I suppose. And building in the wild is not my thing. Next question is on what scale it would be? And would you have it radio controled to sail with it?

  • @HMSDaring1 Let me hear what you like to have. Look for more on

  • Amazing model!

  • Beautiful work. Thanks.

BTW what would this model weigh anyway?

  • this is really something special

  • I estimate about 800 hours.

  • @mglasbergen i want one how you get one or you make them your self what i mean are they kits

  • wow! how many hours of work is that!?
