  • SKELETON GANGBANG

  • i think this is the worst game overall of the DS castlevanias, but i think the music direction is the best. great stuff

  • @spoot9019 Musically there is very little that stands out. It's a very passive soundtrack, but it does fit in nicely in game, better than the others on DS. Portrait of Ruin had the strongest soundtrack, but the level designs were quite bland and not much variation was to be had. OoE on the otherhand was better designed.

  • I dont think that this music is japanese - and even if it is it has really dark european touch ^^

  • All three DS Castlevania's have fantastic soundtracks.

  • Let me say Skeleton Cave is not Holy

  • The first time I entered the cave and this music starts plaing I was thinking yeah. And then I saw these cool dancing skeletons.

  • I LOVE THIS ***** PLACE : D xD

    wiiiiuuuu

  • a great great castlevania soundtrack. In my opinion one of the best ever.

  • I would get this game except it's 30 dollars. There are still PoR for 20$, and circle of the moon for 10$. I'd rather trade one castlevania game for another, because after you beat and get all the weapons there is a good chance you won't play it again. The Dracula X Chronicles was the best deal yet for me. 10$.

  • Forget what I said about this. CotM was worth it. And PoR was especially worth $20(even though I returned it the following week to buy lament of Innocence. Still awesome too.)

  • @blueberrylesbian I love all of the castlevania games for the most part, I have Lament, but stopped playing it...my only complaint with that game was the static camera angles.

  • 0:52 I swhere the piece really hits the soul. I love this music.

  • The only reason I love the skeleton cave is because this music but I basically hate the enemies there....

  • All the Castlevania games are awsome.

  • Except Legends :P

  • Just awsome

  • Something beyond your comprehension?

  • ? try thinking about what you want to say before you post.

  • I was asking if you didnt like songs you didnt understand.

  • ? you're statement is faulty because it is based on the fact that "I don't understand the songs"

Music is completely based on opinion, and there is no right or wrong way to interpret it, I simply did not like it.

Try to think before you post.

  • No. Your statements are inconclusive. I had ASKED if you did not like songs that had japanese in it. And since you could not give a reasonable answer I thought you sounded rather racist. So to clarify if you are racist, I want to know why.

And for your information Castlevania and famous games like Super Mario were created by japanese people.

Also, is your statement not faulty for saying, "I simply did not like it," when on your -7 comment you said "but this song is awsome, so catchy?"

  • Who the fuck are you for me to have to justify anything to you?

My first statement made perfect sense. I begin by saying, I usually dislike the japanese flavour in music... referring of course to the contemporary japanese music that is found in games like TWEWY, Devil Survivor, etc. After I said, this song is an exception.

It was really a simple sentence. I cannot see how you can keep misinterpreting it.

  • I'm misinterpreting what "too japanese" means. Because you make it sound like a bad thing. But since this song is "catchy," it makes an exception. Does that sound offensive to you?

  • No, it isn't offensive at all. If I said something sounds too middle eastern, or too latin, that wouldn't be offensive, because I would be talking about the style and sound of music coming from the area, not the people themselves. You really must be extremely stupid to not understand something that easy.

I seriously can't believe how clueless you are.

  • Well it takes one to know one.

Try to be considerate before you post.

  • "Objection! The witness' testimony is clearly faulty." Sorry, but that reminded me of a Phoenix Wright quote

  • blueberry you're an idiot stop talking and enjoy the music

  • Oh I do enjoy the music andrew, but I just find it insulting to say a game's music is "too Japanese." When people pour their talent into making such a great game as this they deserve to not be treated as a blemish. "Too Japanese." How does something become less Japanese? Possibly dehumanizing and denying one's right to grow? I think Castlevania is a great 2D side scroller and credit should be given where credit is due.

  • @blueberrylesbian "One's right to grow???" Do you know what the fuck you're talking about?!

  • @blueberrylesbian How could it be too Japanese when there isn't even the slightest trace of Japanese music in ANY Castlevania piece? I recommend the originator of that view point seriously sobers up and learns at least something about music before opening his gaping hole and stuffing both feet into it.

  • This songs pratically says:"It's something strange in here,I need to discover!".

  • I like the part withe the harp.^_^

  • fuck yes this was the best theme

  • Such a catchy tune. The soundtrack is a must download.

  • Oh wow, I probably heard this song the most through playing the game, due to using the two Skeleton Rex's before the boss just to level up! Good track too! OoE really shows what the Nintendo DS can do as far as graphics and music!

  • Skeleton Caves is one of my favorite levels and this music is WIN. this is one of my favorite tunes! Too bad Konami didnt put enough skeletons in the cave like in HoD

  • This one stage, its got no reason to come back after you finish! If only one of the coolest stages in the game had a few rooms in it that you needed the wings to get at...

  • Too true. This game needs more of the obscure and intensive backtracking that I've come to love from the Castlevania series.

  • Definitely one of my favourites of the game, especially the part that starts at :52/53 D:

  • skellegton cave that boss was easy i levled up in that cave quickly

  • It reminds me of the clocktower theme of Immaterial and Missing power at a certain point.

  • Jesus Christ, do you say the same crap for every OoE song?

  • Nope, I don't. Look for other songs like the one from the prison or the monastery and you'll see there are only 3-4 tracks that I personally dislike.

  • I don`t know how much of Castlevania fan you are sir, there for I`m not going to critizice your opinion of this track...Personally I LOVE it, it`s a mixture of Heart of Fire and Lost painting...wich I think is exactly what Yamane-sama was trying to achieve and fit perfectly to the game.

  • All right. I respect your opinion.

Anyway, I can't find any similarity between this track with dissonances and a strange feeling and Lost Painting with its renaissance style and its typical chord succession (I-V-VI-III-IV-etc.).

I won't deny that it fits the game either, 'cause it's true.

  • Fair enough, I appreciate your insight.

I do not know if you are speaking of Harmony of Dissonance wich I personally think is the weakest chapter of the series musical wise, not because Yamane-sama did not participate but because it was just plain weak for the usual wonderful Castlevania Melodies.

  • Um... Yamanes wasn't the composer for Hod.

  • "not because Yamane-sama did not participate but because "

    ^He never said he was.

  • In this track I like how Yamane mixes the old Kuheiha Club style with her new Baroque influenced techniques, this track really Pleased me as I was fighting Skeleton Kriskies in the Cave....very awesome.

  • I'm getting extremely tired of your negetivity, DiegoVizia.
