  • So pretty

  • She's so cute in this part!!!! I love this variation!

  • I performed Bluebird for my summer show. I love the variation so much.

  • That is soo cool. i love it how all the other people are fully dressed and she's in a tight, skimpy outfit and all the ladys didn't faint!! haha lol :)

  • J'adore!!! Cette version de l'oiseau bleue est ma favorite!! C'est d'ailleurs celle que j'ai aprise

  • I've seen this SO many times I already know it.

    on demi-pointe, of course.

  • ahhh, this is fantastic. her movements are so precise, i love it.

  • this dancer has amazing control!!

  • i'm going to seee this but its in nyc not paris :( but i'm going to see an opera in vienna and 4 days in paris as a late 13 bday present yay

  • i just started pointe and my feet have blisters all over them

  • Essa sou eu daqui alguns anos eu faço e amoo de paixão ballet

  • oh god... I love... love her dress....

Everything in this video is so beautiful. ;n ; !!!

  • my favorite blue bird variation!!

  • Could anyone tell me the name of this variation's coreographer?

  • @carlabr1 I think this is from the version of Sleeping Beauty that was choreographed by Nureyev.

  • @carlabr1 Rudolf Nureyev after Marius Petipa

  • WOW!!!

  • i will dance Blue Bird at a contest in romania! I am a little ballerina from romania!

  • this variation is looks very decevingly easy, i did it at winter school, and its a killer!!! to make it look light and easy!!! and she makes it look so easy and effortless...beautiful bluebird!!!

  • @prn4ustat I agree with you 100%. I used to watch my sisters' classes and had the opportunity to watch a professional company rehearse this Pas De Deux. I was hurting after watching the male part. It definately is not easy; from what I've heard, this is supposed to be the most difficult male part to dance. After seeing perfomed on the stage at The Met, I BELIEVE!

  • I know one thing they play the music exactly how it's suppose to be plaayed at the right speed and in the right key.

  • Hers is the asactly the same as mine but she is so much better. It would be better if her arms could be softer

  • That looks hard!

  • I love this variation! :) Notice how 90 degrees is still pretty for even a professional. this dance is absolutely flawless. Don't you just want to be her?

  • @amdt13 Yes :)

  • @amdt13 Yeah. This girl in my ballet school dances it.

  • Abbinormal09 I know I argee.I wish they could to.I know it is personally.

  • Gorgeous. Strange though, I've never seen that dance done by a different character before. I thought that was only the bluebird music. Ah well, learn something new everyday!

  • that is the blue bird dance

  • @Tabbykitten7 THAT IS BLUEBIRD! Isn't it? Yes, it is.

  • wow... the set, stage and costumes are brilliant!!!

  • it's my favourite version too. what are the steps at the last part called? the jump turn going down the diagonal?

  • i think it's called an assemble en tournant. not sure though

  • it looks like chassée en tournant

  • she has amazing feet and control. shes just incredible

  • watching the other versions: this one is by far the best. she is the way further advanced physically and obviously age wise as well

  • i love her costume.

  • she is an excellent dancer but i have no idea how this fits in with the sleeping beauty showcase

  • shes the bluebird

  • Are you retarded? It's Princess Florine!

  • It's the end of the ballet during Aurora's wedding where the various performers are dancing for Aurora and the royal family. There's Florine and the Bluebird, Puss and Boots, Red Riding Hood etc.

  • She's a beautiful dancer but I don't like this version of the dance.

  • this is my favorite version of this dance :D

  • That was awesome!!!! Where does she dance? And who is she?

  • I dont know who she is, but this is from the paris opera house

  • This is Delphine Moussin, now Etoile of the paris Opera Ballet

  • @StCorentin She's wonderful. I love how she plays this variation, so ethereal, sweet and perfect!

  • lovely!

  • Excelente, hermoso momento de ballet.

  • I loved this!! She should have played Aurora deffinitly

  • who is this dancer?

  • Perfect for the Bluebird Variation! I love her bounciness and cheeriness.

  • Very good!

    romy

  • That was beautiful! =D

  • Heureusement elle a un joli tutu....Elle est terriblement ennuyeuse et c'est un de ses meilleurs rôles. Elle n'est pas une étoile...un jolie première danseuse...mais pour le reste

  • she should have played Aurora. She is just as good and has more expression on her face!

  • their costumes are so beautiful and elaborate...

  • Waist down shes almost perfect but the upper half is so stiff! I know that is typical of paris opera and their school but seriously the whole first half could have been so much nicer.

Having said that Im still a fan of PO

  • What's her name?

  • omg she hits her points so cleanly and so beautufully!!! and those turns she did at the end was just impecable!!!!!

  • Delphine Moussin, now etoile of the Paris Opera Ballet

  • I love her smile!

  • Yeah this is bluebird, I did this for summer camp once. It was really fun but the dancing was way different and the music was much faster.

  • or should I say, better KNOWN as the bluebird variation.

    ~oOhighmaintenanceOo~

  • omg...is that wat this is?

  • while I agree with dancergirl221, this is NOT princess florine variation! it's the bluebird variation, just so you know.

  • u r such an idiot its completely different

  • Ur right, im sry, i dont know what i was thinking. this is lovely too.

  • who cares!

  • How adorible <3

  • i like sarah lamb better in this variation,

  • Me too!

  • But I don't know there was something about watching this one that was odd.....I think it was too robotic for my liking.....great dancing just not on my list of WOWS

  • i think she was rushing too much. i found her at a few times, where she was ahead of the music.

    but i still love this!

  • There are many different variations for variations. Sometimes dancers change them to better flaunt their abilities and to hide what they don't do so well. Keep an open mind when watching ballet ummmm Eubacterium

  • So-- I assume you have been teaching ballet for 80 percent of your life and have attended every major performance of every major ballet company on the planet, eh Eubacterium...?

  • The steps were wrong.

  • amazing, man I wish people could understand how bloody hard that is!!!!

  • yea, they think being a ballerina is all fun and games, i wish they could just see how much damn work we out into it!!!!

  • @Abbinormal09 yeah it is sooo hard!!

  • @Abbinormal09 well obviously we do since u got 23 up and counting :)

  • @Abbinormal09 you think people don't know that?imo everyone knows. just take a look at this. it's like impossible

  • @Googaify . lol seriously.. no one said it was easy!

  • @Abbinormal09 it is I started ballet when i was 6 but then after i broke my leg badly when I was 7 I stopped for 6 years until I started over when i was 13 and it was hard b4 I broke my leg and after I am now 15 and feeling the passion I had for ballet when I was little

  • Lindo!

  • personally i didnt enjoy it. but thats just me. im sure that many others loved it. i guess im just wierd lol

  • damn, you have HUGE issues

  • this is the right pace, a faster pace for this song, seems rushed!

  • She's good because she captures the essence of a bluebird. On those turnouts she stiffens, instead of staying loose like most ballerinas do!

  • First of all, it´s the Paris Opera Ballet, Choreography by Rudolf Nureyev after Marius Petipa. Dancer is Delphine Moussin, Etoile danseuse since 2005.

Usually tall dancers prefers slower musical tempo than short dancers, and Nureyev´s choreography emphasizes clear crisp "robotic" steps, check his nutcracker!

  • They're a bit robotic don't you think?

  • Amei esta variação, é a variação de pássaro azul, q eu mais gostei!!!

  • this is the Lady Bluebird, who is the male Bluebird's female fairy counterpart. she's very good, but a little too jerky for my tastes... and who's the conductor? WAY too slow.

  • What company is this?CH~ABT

  • opera de Paris

  • American Ballet Theater! I can't believe that you don't know who this company is!

  • umm are you joking? it is opera de paris

  • I thought this was bluebird?

  • The music is MADD SLOW poor thing.

  • this particular variation is supposed to look a bit robotic; it is supposed to be jerkey, like a bird (hence the name bluebird variation, also called princess florine) :D

  • it's actually the man who is the blue bird. The lady is Princess Florine. She hears the bird singing in the story which is why in the variation she puts her hand behind her ear frequently. I personally think that the fouettes in the beginning are a bit robotic too, but hey, that's how her ballet master/mistress wanted it *shrug*

  • she looks so robotic

  • You are so right!

  • what is the dancer's name?

  • she's Delphine Moussin
