So, I decided to try a timed test and only got 3 hours of runtime before the light was too dim to call a spotlight. Well, that's not exactly the life I was expecting, but it's still an improvement. I'm not sure why the life is so short. Perhaps the original 45 minute runtime was an overestimate? Has anyone tested the runtime with the manufacturer's battery?
The batteries in the BT-H21 pack (ebay item 400071437061) are larger than AA and smaller than C. Is that "sub C"? I've had about 45 minutes runtime with the 400maH battery, so I expect to get about 15 hours per charge with the 8100maH battery. I've had the light on for about 3-4 hours so far, I guess. I don't want to run the light for 15 continuous hours because that might overheat the LED. Perhaps I can run a timed test for two hours a run until the battery dies. Don't hold your breath. :-)
To increase the life span of the Husky spotlight, I installed a SHARP BT-H21 camcorder battery that I bought on Ebay for $24 including shipping. Afterward, it took 36 hours to fully charge, using the charger that came with the flashlight. The LED on the flashlight handle eventually dims, indicating the charge is complete. It works great!
Hi, Nice video. I have the same flashlight. Runtime sucks. What brand and where did you buy the battery pack? Are you using the original charger that came with the flashlight? How long do you have to charge it? Thanks
the amps might fry that memory board or the memory board brings it back down to the way it was before

Try cycling the new batt a couple times. I got 20 min out of the original batt.

i'd get me one of those cacorder batteries a 6 volt from radio shack replace LED with a cree long lasting LED...then try time test
