The question was how to make a printer wireless. You do the dark and stormy night explanation of a wireless modem, then tell me to go out and buy a wireless printer because it is just too hard to connect the printer. Wrong. You can buy a Linksys Wireless G Multi Functional Print Server. You plug it into the router and you plug the printer's usb port into the server. Why is that so hard to explain?
I was skeptical when I saw that it's eHow channel... i watched it anyway... and it seems my skepticism was justified. How is hooking up an Ethernet cable W I R E L E S S ?? omg
@jchahine To print wirelessly from a laptop that is using WiFi on your network. It's wireless for the other computers. Much like a "cordless phone" still has to be plugged in to the phone line at the base. Common sense...
wow great video. Question "What's the easiest way to make a printer wireless?" Answer "Buy a wireless printer." Awesome, now I will buy a wireless printer and throw out my existing wired printer. Thanks dude. Whoever you are. Can I just cut the wires in wired printer and make it wireless? No? Oh, ok.
The last part made me sad, I just bought new ink for my old junker printer I got at a yard sale. -$60, and still old junker printer. A wireless computer exclusive network frustrates me; When I am out of ink next time, I guess I have to get a wireless printer. . . :[
He did not make a printer wireless. He connected it by a wire to a router. Obviously people looking at this video are wondering how to set up a printer that is not close enough to the router to be plugged into it. Total waste of time.
just buy a wireless usb on ebay for 50$ and plug usb from printer on it and the usb wireless send signal to the usb computer , nothing complicated here !
how is going to be more difficult? i would rather route my printer trough a computer already connected to my network, than spending hundreds on a "wireless ready printer". This has got to be the 5th+ video of his I've posted on, correcting him. come on!
This video is wrong. You DON'T need a printer with an ethernet port. It is NOT that hard. Just connect your printer to your main computer and "Share" the printer. Yes, you do need a router and everything networked, but it isn't that difficult. You can even print from a Mac to your printer connected to a PC.
@andybside Yes but that wouldn't be a completely wireless printer then would it. He's talking in this video about a totally wireless printer, not wired to any computer system. Do pay attention Bond :)
on a mac go into sharing and turn on printer sharing in the system preferences window then go to printer and fax select your printer and select the share printer button. done

If your printer doesn't have an ethernet port, then you're SOL.

Just use Apple's routers(Airport Express, Airport Extreme, or Time Capsule), they have a USB port for a external hard drive or for a printer.
