I remember watching this game on ESPN. Blue Springs South was ranked #3 in the country that year. This kid is an incredible talent and, watching this tape, it's so hard to believe he was just a sophomore. I'm so proud that he chose Mizzou over Florida and Florida State. He's a good man for staying loyal to the people in his home state.

If MSHAA ever lifted the transfer penalty off of the St. Louis area schools it would be a different story. I am not sure if you many people are aware that the St. Louis metro area has a different set of rules to abide by according to MSHAA. Anywhere outside of STL students are free to transfer one time without losing a year of eligibility. If they do that in STL they lose a year. Basically this rule allows schools in KC and out state MO to stack teams! MSHAA is an absolute joke!

this is incorrect. any student who transfers for athletic reasons must sit out a year. if you transfer for other reasons (ie move) there are no penalties. all rules for MSHSAA are statewide. a coach must also consent to let a player go to another school if it does not involve a move for the student not to lose a year of eligibility. the st. louis rule you speak of is more of a private school rule. it would be like transferring from BSS to rockhurst. only allowed if the coach consents

I graduated in 2002 from BS South. You kids are ignorant. Blue Springs South/Blue Springs/And Rockhurst are hands down bigger powerhouses than any STL teams since I was in highschool.
